Knicks made right decision signing Felton over Lin

Felton is a scrub. Comparing Lin to him is kind of sad, although thats what it comes down to.

 

Felton is not a scrub, at least this year he wasn't. But your comments are understandable since you're a certified LOH.

 

He's actually not a LOH. I used to think so too and sometimes he makes comments that make it seem like as if he is, but unlike other LOH's who think Lin is complete trash and is a bench player at best, he actually acknowledges that Lin is a average to below average starting point guard at this moment, which is probably true. Or at least I hope I'm talking about the right person.

Anyways, Lin is a lot better than Felton. The only reason the stats are similar is because Felton takes like 2 more shots than Lin. Lin has higher field goal % and assist numbers, which is shocking since theres no other set play maker other than Felton on the Knicks,

Felton is also pretty slow and he's 28, while Lin's not even in his prime. For this year Knicks may have gotten a good deal with Felton, but looking into the future they're kinda screwed

 

All that you said is fine, but none proves that Felton is CLEARLY the better player.

 

For going with experience and all-out win-now, this is a pretty sad year for the Knicks.

Third best team in the East would be borderline playoff the in the west, and appropriately and easily going to be bounced in the second round.

It may have been a good salary cap decision, but the Knicks still suck pretty badly and really needed younger legs and someone that can penetrate and create easy shots next to Carmelo's volume shooting.

Felton is a bottom tier starting PG, you're delusional if you think otherwise. I don't even need to put his regular season TS % on here go find it yourself.

 

Now lets see if the Rockets can do something similar.

 

Felton gives you much less than 90% of what Lin did in the second half of the season.

Felton is supposed to be in his prime. Lin was playing his first full season. And yet Lin outperformed Felton even with half a season off injury and adjusting to playing with Harden.

Dollar for dollar, maybe Felton is worth it. But people are actually not talking about money. They say Felton IS the better player.
