Take any position and list the players you would take over the current rocket in that position for next year.

    I will start with SG:

    Harden - No one

The only two SGs with higher PERs than harden are kobe and wade and they are both old, breaking down, and hurt. Therefore I wouldn't take either of those guys over Harden.

Since I started with SG the next poster should pick a different position until all the positions are done.

Would take over Parsons: (disregarding contract)

    Lebron
    Durant
    Paul George
    Carmelo
    Batum
    Iguodala
    Deng

    Maybe:
    Leonard
    Hayward

    Left out notables:
    Pierce (old)
    Gallinari (coming off injury)
    Kirilenko (old)
    Gay (inefficient)

    Center - Asik:

    Here is my ranking-

    1. M. Gasol
    2. Howard
    3. Noah
    4. Chandler
    5. Varejao(when healthy)
    6. Duncan(really a center)
    7. Horford
    8. Lopez
    9. Bosh
    10. Asik
    11. Hibbert
    12. Bogut
    13. Garnett
    14. Cousins
    15. Monroe
    16. Sanders
    17. Vucevic

Many of these guys impact the game differently than others, and some will be lower or higher in the future, but right now there are about 9 or 10 other guys I think might have a greater impact than Asik if you plugged them in the lineup instead.

Iggy is listed as a 2, though he could play the 3.

To me Deng/Batum are questionable over Parsons even without regard to age/contract. Deng/Batum/Parsons/Gay/Gallo are all fairly close ignoring money.

I forgot about Leonard. He would be ahead for me by virtue of higher ceiling and younger.

    No, just no.
The only centers i'll take over Asik is Dwight and Lopez. The rest is a fail.

No. I don't buy into his hype. He has no jumpshot. 35% from the field, 29% from 3. Lin shoots 44% and 34% from 3 and he gets crucified for it over here. Imagine how CF would deal with Rubio.

Why do you think Rubio is so good?

Because hes a better player than lin will ever be? He averaged 1.3 more assits than lin despite having way less talent on his team. Rubio was the FIBA Europe Under-16 Champion MVP when lin was still in high school. He was starting pg for Spain when he won silver at the olympics FIVE years ago. Imagine how good he would be if we put some talent around him, morey said he was a championship-caliber pg.

Oh, hes also 2 years younger than lin and has been playing pro ball for the spanish national team since he was 16.

This. Plus, he averages 3 TOs a game, and only 10.7 PPG. No thank you.
