No way he has so much potential still. He can always bulk up, add post moves, add irving-esque handles, and add more footwork to his quickness, and anticipation defense.

    Right now he is:
    -a good passer
    -quick
    -best shooter in the NBA

To the NBA he is considered a finished product, a complete point guard, at a very young age. He has so much more potential its unthinkable of what he can become.

the next decade pointguards to watch out for: Westbrook, Curry, Irving, Rose
(I want to say Lin for the homerism in me but he has so much to work on compared to these guys)

The game has changed. NBA point guards aren't required to play much defense anymore. Most teams have a wing defensive player like Tony Allen, or Igoudala who help out on drives, and a big shot blocker like Larry Sanders or Serge Ibaka in the paint.

The modern point guard only needs to funnel his man into the defense. Even good defensive PG like Chris Paul and George Hill will play this matador type D sometimes during a game.

He is 25 not exactly young.... Not to mention glass ankles. Loads of PGs peak around that age. He could get better but lets not act like his potential is limitless. He is already nearly a finished product to be frank. He isn't particularly athletic and his court vision is decent not great.

No hand check rules pretty much force Pgs to do this. Explosive PGs cannot guard explosive Pgs anymore without hand checking. They can't stay in front of them.

"Bulking up" is something any NBA player can do potentially. But a guy like Steph Curry will always be a paperweight. It's what he is.

Forget post moves. He won't be strong enough to post up anyone unless Muggsy Bogues or Earl Boykins return to the NBA.

Ain't no way he'll have handles like Kyrie Irving. That's a total pipe dream. A player's handles usually don't improve that much in the NBA, especially at age 25 after 4 seasons.

I doubt Curry has reached his peak if he can stay healthy. He will become more seasoned and experienced if nothing else. His shot selection (especially the dumb high-arching scoop shots) could improve.

Its his 4th year and best year in the NBA he has not reached his peak unless his ankle holds him back.

curry was a 26 ppg 62% ts guy post all-star break. he's shown the same thing in the playoffs, and the ability to do it against sort of defense. he's also a very good play-maker. if that's his peak, there isn't much better you can get.

I agree to a point, but you cannot tell me that expectations on defense was ever that high for a point guard, especially in the past, when big men could roam and camp out in the paint. Even with hand checking, some point guards having great defense was more of luxury than a necessity. There are probably more adequate to great defensive point guards in the league now or the last 10 years than there has been in the past.

Exactly, if can definitely average 25-7 next season and thats a pretty good damn peak considering the guy guarding him has to pick him up from 30...

Steve Nash got 2 MVPS after age 30. Yes Curry can possibly get better. Maybe not in pure 3 point shooting, but in making 2's and in assists

He only played pg one year in college. I think his floor game will continue to improve. Also he can bulk up a little bit which will help his defense.

He doesnt need too improve on his shooting but how he gets about shooting at a consistently more durable rate. He is all star quality, just needs to toughen up, refine and adjust to playoff standards.

let me say this, Curry seems to be a great player. but what i dont like about him is that he seems like doesnt like contact, and is always favoring either his right or left leg on the court. If you can be physical with him like Beverley and Lin were with him earlier this year, it becomes too easy to throw him off his game.

The real player on that team with upside i like is Harrison Barnes

You mean he should favor his third leg instead?

If he did Morey would have already traded this asset for Lebron. If he is still here that means Morey knows he will be better than LBJ.
