So we all know what happened last night, and since Houston fans don't get to gloat all that often, I thought I'd just put something together, you know, to put ear-to-ear smiles on your faces.

First of all, this is a little commentary on the game, from a Phoenix fan's perspective. Actually, these are quotes from THIER message board..hehehe...which I thought was obscenely cool. Oh and for the remainder of this post, the rules of courtesy, hippcracy, and good sportsmanship are suspended. Along with the indecent exposure act...so go buck-wild.

    So here we go.

Cut to Phoenix, a few hours before tipoff. Fans are excited about this, arguably the most important game of the season, and a matchup between ROY candidates, and more importantly, a playoff race. But what're Phoenix fans doing? They're gossiping about who said what...

Maurice Taylor: "Yao's the best rookie in the league," Rockets forward Maurice Taylor said. "Of course they would say it's Amare, but that's because they're biased. I'm not biased. That's an educated vote. But I just think Yao's the best rookie in the league. You can talk about records, what our record was last year (28-54) as opposed to this year."

In response to this "heinous" statement, a Phoenix fan remarks:

"And sounds like Mo is attributing the team's better record this year to Yao. Doesn't he know that Francis sort of conributed to their record this year? Not that I'm implying that Francis is thaaat good, imo he's sucky.. just a numbers sorta player.. not really a winner."

From there we have this almost claiirvoyent fan, who apparantly gave the Rockets their game plan:

"I like the way we are balling now if we can keep it close in the early part of game, i like our chances"

And lets not forget about Kelvin Cato.....

"outside of Ming, Houston really doesn't have any other low post threat on D"
[I'm reminded of a certain MONSTER block...]

CUT TO GAMETIME, or as I like to call it, time for Phoenix fans to eat thier words..

"The Rockets are hitting everything in the second quarter and well, you can see the score "

CUT TO POSTGAME, or as I like to call it...eh I got nothin'...
Let's get thier take on our homeboy Yao Ming...

"I thought Jake did everything humanly possible to stop Yao " [referring to Jake Tskadilis]

"he looked every bit as helpless against Yao's jumper as everybody" [On Jake Tsakadilis]

Of course we have to have a disgruntled Phoenix fan...

"Pisses me off to read that anybody's going to prtend that this one loss means the Rockets will be bending the Suns over forever, like they used to, give me a break already with this ****. "

Okay Phoenix, we have been hard on you today, but you guys just seem to have a city full of idiots (aka: FANS), but there's at least ONE sane person out there, and he has this to say:

"IMHO, this game proves who should go to the playoffs. It also settled who will win ROY, and who has bragging rights between Francis and Marbury. "

PS: I have nothing against the city of Phoenix, the Suns, or the players, this is just a joke and should be taken lightly. G'nite kids.

This is the greatest line ever. I had a very hardy laugh out loud to this. Good call Rockets688!

"like they used to," this kills me.

I think this quote pretty much encapsulates what this win was, beyond the Ws and Ls in the playoff race.

If there was any way I could hate a team as much as the Jazz it would be Phoenix. The joy I get from any win against them is immeasurable, and the win last night was that much better because of it's importance.

I would be the happiest man in the world if the Jazz and Suns finished as the two worst teams in the league for the rest of my life, or if we were able to eliminate them from the playoffs every year.

    I welcome a Phoenix rivalry.

Man, I still love that quote from Sir Charles when he said a champion doesn't die, you have to kill 'em ... and then we proceeded to make him eat his words.

After the 94 and 95 series, and the "kiss of death" shot, the Rockets are probably to Suns fans what the Jazz are to Rockets fans - supremely hated.

My best friend is a Suns fan...who has posted on this board with my handle (starting some really irate threads). I know he suffers from which JBC speaks. The Rockets did the Suns dirty like the Jazz did the Rockets....hopefully they shall remain permenantly our biatch
