I recently got a new computer, and finally downloaded MAME Friday. Needless to say, nothing got done this weekend. Nothing. Capcom ROMs are going to ruin my life.
Can anyone help me out here? I can't remember the name of the game, but it's sort of a combination of Galaga and Tempest. It's like Galaga except that instead of a ship that you move back and forth across the bottom edge of the screen with the enemies at the top of the screen, your move your ship around in a circle, firing at enemies which emerge from the center of the screen, similar to Tempest. Anyone remember the name of the game I'm talking about?
Where are you getting your ROM's? I'm sure you are like me and own EVERY GAME ON THE PLANET EVER MADE, so downloading them is NOOO problem... he he.
I wondered if anyone else was addicted to these things...I've got mame, nintendo, super nintendo, and sega genesis. Almost every rom for the consoles, but the MAME roms are hard to come by since MameDK shutdown...anyone know where I can get some?
OK, I'm searching... http://www.clubi.ie/ogiee/Ankman/ http://www.mameromlinks.com/modules.php?name=Web_Links&l_op=viewlink&cid=3 http://www.classicgaming.com/vault/ I'll keep looking...
www.planetemu.net It's a French site, I think, so you might be un-American for downloading anything from them. They have just about every arcade ROM under the sun, though. The only faulty one I've downloaded from them is Buster Bros.
You can still get ROMs off of MAME.dk, you just have to register with them. Once you're logged in, you should be able to see the download links in the game descriptions. Usenet is also a pretty good way to grab them if your ISP has a decent news server.
