I am taking the wifey and boys to Atlantis in the Bahamas in June, and need to know if any Clutchfans have experience there. A few questions - please. Is the meal plan worth it? We are staying at the Royal Towers - is that the most family friendly? Which resteraunts are the best to go to? Thanks and anything else you want to share would be appreicated. Thanks, DD
Your wife agreed to have kids with you?? :-O- Just kidding, DD! Don't know anything, really, but have seen countless commercials about the place, and it looks pretty cool, particularly for a family. I bet you guys have a great time.
Too expensive for my blood. We actually leave on Sunday for a Carnival cruise (booked it before all this crap started happening) to Key West, Grand Cayman, and Ocho Rios. We're doing stingray city in Grand Cayman and climbing Dunns River falls and tubing the White River in Jamaica. Wish me luck in the ship actually moving like it's supposed to. I hope you guys have a great time!
Gastric Bypass and def buy the meal plan it will save you in the long run. Family Friendly is just as much family friendly as you wanna make it. Its a place made exclusively FOR tourists so...everywhere is pretty family friendly.
have a friend who went there about 10 yrs ago with his gf......complained that the poolside drinks were too overpriced
Everything is overpriced. Prepare to spend. Stay at the cove...it's worth it. Gamble a lot to pay for your trip or have it cost twice as much. You will see a lot of athletes and celebrities: Tiger Woods, Tim Teebow, Matt Damon, etc...they're all possibilities.
No experience with Atlantis (although I did SEE it off in the distance) But like most resorts its pretty much self contained...like a breathing apparatus And I'm probably not telling you anything new. Sorry can't help much, but enjoy the vacation, it's a great island to run around on.
You found a gate and Atlantis is the first place you picked? Redic. Just don't forget your P90 and ballcap. (.... waits)
Not at this level...it's ridiculous. Only worth it for gambling, and even the comps are terrible, lol.
I went there and stayed at the Cove, so you don't have to pay separately for pools, beach access, etc. I'm not sure if the rooms are made to accommodate families, as I went on my honeymoon so it was one bed. I don't know much about the other 2 hotels at the resort. And yes, food will be expensive. I wasn't aware of a meal plan when we went. So we just ate whatever. We did the sushi place inside the resort, the Bobby Flay place (Mesa Grill I think), and the buffet there was pretty nice. Nothing blew my socks off, but it was all tasty enough. I did gamble and almost paid for our trip, so that was a plus. It is a great place DD, hope you have fun.
