I'd rather have him add a little bit of D.

He talked about it in his MVP speech. Worked "strictly" on his post game that summer and that season after his Finals loss, then worked on the three pointer this recent off season.

Better add some 3 point shooting if Rox let Garcia and Delfino walk. Harden is going to get constant double teams posting up.

    How so?

Defense is a mental thing. He'll learn more by experience and good coaching. This is why some teams always play good defense because the coaches are teaching them good habits.

It's like when you first play ball, you may watch the ball...and then someone tells you. "Hey kid, focus on their chest."

This is why a lot of the best defenders are older guys with more experience. He'll get it down if he wants to. It's that simple really.

Harden needs to follow Durant and take up biking to improve his conditioning since he got exhausted by the end of the season.

    Durants still going strong.

Good,he needs to defend too. I don't think he is fat,but he could get leaner and improve his conditioning.

Durant's been in those high minutes for a couple of years now. Nothing new here.

Just need to get that ankle healthy as much as possible

Indeed. You see players improve on D during the season all the time, but you rarely see improvement in offensive game. Besides, a lot of defensive lapses we have are more due to bad defense in a team setting. You can't get that with offseason personal workouts.

I saw Harden improve his defense over the season, but his offensive moves were basically the same throughout.

hope harden works on his defense

if he can get his defense to be above average, he will become one of the top SGs in the entire league

Yep, agree with everyone DEFENCE first.
Just a reasonable level so these nobody guards don't have a career night against him every time.

And better decision making, hope he can cut down on the turnovers, leading the rockets and almost the league at his position with 3.9 a game, oft times peaking at well over 5.

Developing a low post game will really take advantage of mismatches in size and strength. Harden is like a cat with agility and strength, he can really go into BEAST mode with a low post game.

Mid-range game doesn't really excite me so much. Everyone thinks he's a young Jordan including himself - me, not so much. If developing a mid-range game involves turn around jump shots or step-back contested threes, playing for the ******* foul... then no thanks. I wonder what Morey has to say, isn't the mid-range shot the worst you can take according to his stats driven system?

Anyways, excited to see this teams improvement next year.

yeah, i know, but in clutch time, the refs tend to swallow their whistles,
you aren't going to win many close game with that FG%
