You can pull for Lin all you want, the truth is majority of the Houston Rockets fans do not like and want Lin. And his talents are being wasted on this team. The team is better served by Beverley and Brooks. So for everyone's sake (team, fans and Lin), just get rid of him this summer. Trade him to another team that needs a PG and free up the cap space to sign someone way better.

I don't really buy this notion that you must be a dick to compete at a higher level. There's this guy named LBJ who won 4 rings and is pretty much known as a nice guy to hang around with.

As far JLin goes he can't go out and say he is where he needs to be because he hasn't achieved Linsanity yet...that's where he needs to be. He wasn't able to clearly separate himself from Brooks, TD and Beverly, and that's pretty bad because those guys were minimum pickups and he's making 8M a year. It's important he knows that he has a long way to go, because his game really needs a lot of work.

With that said I'm confident he's gonna work hard on his game and take it to a new level next year, I'm excited to see what he brings to the table next season.

Wrong! Playing along side a ball dominant SG who is actually playing PG, Lin is a complete failure this year. Nothing less than averaging 20/10 will do. 14/6 is a travesty. Just get rid of him, please!

Sorry but that is NOT what the Rockets want from Lin. Neither does anyone on the team or in the fan stand believed he can pull those numbers EVER. Remember he is already 24, too old to learn and improve. There is no upside or growth with this guy. Stop dreaming. Just trade him.

No, Lin will NEVER become a top 10 PG for the Rockets. We already have that person and his name is James Harden!

There is no doubt that Lin needs to improve and has capacity to do so in order to reach his full potential. However, here are his stats for the last 3 months of the regular season:

    Minutes Points Assists FG% 3Pt%

    February : 32.2 14.5 5.7 .438 .424

    March: 28.1 13.8 5.0 .482 .400

    April: 31.8 14.1 5.8 .414 .321

He was also top 5 in steals in the regular season in the whole of the NBA.

I would like to know what you feel would be 'acceptable' for an $8M PG who plays around 30-32 minutes per game and spends more than half of his time on the court 'off the ball.'

Mike Conley, in contrast averaged 14.6 points and 6.1 assists, and is in his 6th season as a starter. Lin was in his first. Perhaps you feel there isn't much separation between Conley and Beverely/Brooks?

I hope you aren't one of those fans who are basing their opinion on where Lin is as a player right now on the small sample size of the playoffs, where he was clearly hampered by injury?

But not enough; nor will it ever be enough, improvement that is from Lin. So please tell Morey to get rid of him.

Houston has never liked nor wanted Lin. So why let the pain linger?

I've never seen anyone calling a 24-yo "too old to learn & improve" so I got curious and re-read some of your earlier posts. It appeared to me you are actually a fan of Lin and just want to see him traded because you think the Rockets neither "liked nor wanted" him?

    Interesting.

Sarcastic rants longer than one post make one look like a 10 year old that just discovered the literary device. It also confuses the non-native speakers on this board.

Merely recanting what has been said by many. But to be truthful, I just hate to see a talent wasted no matter it is in basketball or schools or work place. That's what is frustrating to me watching and rewatching some of this season's game, that after all his hard work and perseverance, he was promised one thing and handed another and has had to learn to play comepletely differently. Don't think 24 is too old? Read some of the posts here ;)

Yeah and it feels good ;)

They are not my concerns. BTW, many of them would share my opinions if they could express it.

Thanks for pointing that out. Would rep you if I could.

17/7 in April is pretty damn good, over the course of 9 games as well. That's pretty close to Linsanity levels if you take into account his changed role on the team etc. I'm not sure why so many 'Rockets' fans' think that's poor for an $8M starting PG or how Beverly/Brooks compare.

Can you give me the link to where you got this from because I've been using Hoopstats and looks like they aren't on the money.

Here is the link where I got the stats from.
