Did Anybody see this strange mention of Griffin by Ralph Wiley?

We're seeing this third hand. Wiley is (supposedly) reporting on a rumor he heard from someone else (who may not be the names he quotes but more so, the and them crowd). It may not be literal. It may be totally made up. It may just be that in Dub's circle, scumbag is a euphemism for a Houston Rocket player.

If Griff is hanging out with a bunch of nasties, why hasn't that broken in the Chronicle first?

    Dave.

Cool, he's probably down the street from me; I'll keep an eye out.

I really think it's just misunerstood. Griffin works hard and doesn't seem like the type the intial poster thoguht the writer was making him out to be.

I don't care who his friends are. Just don't hurt the team, and improve.

Because the Chronicle doesn't do any hard reporting on the Rockets lifestyle. Do you read it? It's all soft, soft puffy pieces on practice and their belief in defense. Then they go out and give up over a 100 to the Clips.

Yeah from his earlier articles you can see Ralph Wiley
    is a 'Yao-only' columnist. ;)

does anybody else find a couple of page 2 writers hard to read? i mean, bill simmons and greg easterbrook are two awesome writers, but theres a couple of other ones that are incredibaly hard to read.

such as his alter ego. i cannot read that crap. wiley needs to go back to worshipping the lakers and shut up.

The Rockets are one of the better defensive teams in the league, how else could they win with their anemic offense. As far as the Chronicle on the personal lives of the Rockets, I'm fine with that, I really don't like for celebrities to have their privacy violated., and these guys aren't real celebs, except for Yao.

It will be hard to improve when EG has been shot after being dared by his scumbag friends to rob a liquor store.

You see, that goes into my category of "don't hurt the team".

    1) Don't let what you do hurt your team. You are counting against the cap, hence, your absence in any way is hurting the team.

    2) Improve. Your salary increases every season, and we expect the level of improvement to match that increase.

I hope so, because I LMAO at his post! :D

I don't think Eddie is aggressive enough to rob someone, he'd have to speak up for them to know they were being robbed...

How exactly does living in the third ward qualify as being a scumbag?? Seriously, ewfd, I'd like to know.

Until Eggie tests positive in a mandatory drug test, I don't believe any of it.

Please.......forget him. Why do people even both to read their useless info?

But it's amazing that you found it........

Eddie Griffin with scumbags? Weird. I thought Eddie didn't like to go out. He said he likes to stay at home and play video games.

Well, if you can look past your sarcasm for one minute, maybe you can realize that what was posted wasn't gossip or hearsay. It was from an article on the ESPN website. It was probably a joke, and even if it wasn't, it's still ridiculous. By try not to be so rude to people when you hardly know what you're talking about.
