First off, if anyone thinks the Lakers can't win it all this year, they are a fool.

Here I am hoping they will make it out of the playoffs ... which is really unlikely. They are battling Utah for the 6/7 seed at the moment. The 5th seed looks very unlikely for them (minnesota would have to lose 6 of their next 14 games and lakers would have to win every game)

With this, Rockets, Suns, Lakers, Utah and even Golden State are battling for the last three seeds. I predict the Lakers will get in... but at what seed?

It would be horrible for them to hobble in the playoffs and win it all!

Not to be greedy but I really hope we can get in at the 7th seed. If we do, watch out! I really believe we can make some damage.

We will play Sacramento (if playoffs started today) and we match up fairly well against them. We beat them 2-1 thus far this year.

San Antonio will not be too bad either. From a matchup standpoint, Dallas and Portland may create the most problems. Portland's front line is way too physical.

Hi Space Ghost, enjoyed your post. Actually, the Lakers are still my pick to win it all. They have the two most unguardable players in the league as well as the recent championship experience. Also, it's looking like a distinct possibility that the Spurs will pass up the Mavs for the division crown. If this happens and the Lakers hold on to #6, they would face Dallas in round 1; I could very well see a Laker sweep there. Perhaps that would give them added momentum to help them beat the Spurs and Kings later in the playoffs.

Maybe I'm speculating a little too much, but the bottom line is I still like LA's chances.

Well, I am not totally dreaming. Remember Pacers coach Thomas predicted the same thing? :D :D :D

Seriously, Rockets match up fairly well against Kings, Lakers, and Spurs. Rockets lead 2-1 regular season serious against Lakers and Kings. Rockets lost twice to Spurs during the two worst Rockets slumps of the year. They were losing to everybody.

Against Mavs, it's a different stories. We just don't have answers to Mavs team full of good outside shooters.
