Can Hakeem help Phoenix?

Alright, I'm about to stir up a huge controversy here, so I'll make this simple: Can Hakeem help the Suns?

    1. Phoenix has a huge hole in the middle: Clifford Robinson, Rodney Rogers, and Chris Dudley are taking turns playing C. Now they have a scrub, Santiago, and a Euro, Tsakadilis in the mix too.

    2. Phoenix has NO CHANCE against the Spurs or Lakers with their current center situation. I saw a picture on ESPN.com of Rogers trying to guard Shaq. Duncan and Robinson will school these scrubs.

    3. Hakeem still has some game left in him. Although we haven't seen it in awhile, the fact remains that Olajuwon can rebound, block a few shots, and score. He barely touches the ball in our playground offense, so he is basically going to waste.

    4. Hakeem has said that he may want to play a few more years. Phoenix, whose best center ever may have been Mark West would love to use him. Olajuwon could sign an extension for a couple of more years and finish his career off on his terms.

We owe it to Olajuwon to honor his wishes. If he wants to keep playing, he can. As much as I would hate to see Hakeem go out like Robert Parish or Ewing, in a Suns uniform, I will still salute the man who made the Rockets what they are today.

One possible trade solution is as follows:

    Hakeem Olajuwon $16,000,000 to Phoenix

    for

    Clifford Robinson $6,890,000
    Chris Dudley $6,200,000
    Mario Elie $548,000

    trade works after Nov. 19.

Question is: do we want Hakeem wearing another uniform?

Hakeem can't guard Rado Nesterovic. What in the world makes you think he can guard Shaq, Duncan, and Robinson?

You can't stop Radoslav Nesterovic, you can only hope to contain him.

Yeah, no kiddin. I'm still having nightmares of perennial all-star John Amaechi scoring over Dream to win a game early in the season last year. Oh the HORROR!

I hate to say it but Hakeem can't help anyone in the NBA.

Dream has to be respected by the opponent any time he is on the court. He would definitely help the Suns but they would be kind of crazy to give up all that for someone who might only want to finish this season and that's it or goes down with an injury.

I think, I hope he will stay and finish here this season. If he wants to play and needs a change then go to another team next year. But if he feels that way and there was an exciting trade that DREAM wanted this year and the Rockets got what they wanted, in that case, WHATEVER THE DREAM WANTS!

Me, I want him to stay here where he belongs.

The Suns don't need help...they took it to the Blazers last night. (Sorry, Pip)
