Agreed 110%. Everyone said that he has an unbelievable work ethic. He challenges himself to get better and he is his own worse critic.
Ok, but it's not about who we already have. It's are you satisfied with Lin or should we look elsewhere.
The Rockets are years away from being a team that measures its success solely by its post-season run. They don't have the luxury to throw away quality players just because they're not going to win them a championship right this moment. Lin was a solid, and sometimes excellent, starting PG for a whole season. Beverley had a couple of good playoff games. Given your complete disregard for sample size, I'm sure you were one of those people who were ecstatic that the Rockets got Lin, right? Oh, you weren't? Your extreme bias is showing.
Houston needs to find a team dumb enough to allow the Rockets to dump Lin and his contract on them. Milwaukee?
Utah Jazz SnT Milsap (4 years 38m) to us for Jeremy Lin and Thomas Robinson 1.) Jazz need a PG 2.) Jazz have to spend 20 million dollars to meet minimum salary requirements 3.) Jazz need to be bad next year 4.) Sending the Lin fans to Utah Jazz fan forums would be GLORIOUS.
Good luck with that....even CP3 will not make you guys happy. You will probably find ways to turn on him also. What you guys need is to trade Lin and Harden for Lebron and Wade. Now any PG you like will fit your delusional system.
Point Guard for the future in Houston... Definitely next season (unless we can get CP3). Les wanted him mainly because of marketability. I don't know the numbers but I've heard rumours he's paid for his contract many times over. So don't start with the he's not worth $8.3m a year. They aren't going to ship him out for money or cap reasons. The on court side, he's stayed relatively healthy to start 82 games but missed 2 and a half playoff games. He seems to be liked by teammates and coaches and the community in Houston in general. His stat line for the year is 13.4ppg @ FG=44%, 3PT=34%, 6.1ast, 2.9to. These numbers are about average for a starting PG in the NBA. Most importantly, he has improved month on month and crushed the so called 'turnover issue' to almost a non-issue. He has shown a great work ethic and willingness to improve and learn and with a full off-season (free of injury), there is no doubt he can improve on his numbers and become a top 10 point guard in this league. Jeremy Lin is the HOUSTON ROCKETS point guard of the future so get used to it if you're a rocket's fan.
While this does sound good, you have to remember. the NBA wants to market Lin. so if we trade him, the teams with a city with a high asian market are going to offer up the most, or be stupid enough to offer up enough money. but id be happy with that deal. just seems harder to market him in UTAH
