Just heard on channel 11 sports in Houston... ------------------ GimmeDaRock -- "I was there at Hofheinz and the AstroArena..."
Damn Damn Damn Damn Damn!!!!(sorry guys) Well it looks like Langhi is gonna get to come off IR. DAMN!!! ------------------ Formal Notice This space has been condemned.
SPRAINED ANKLE? 4 -6 weeks Ohh my god, please! ------------------ "You look a team that's been to the mountaintop like the Houston Rockets, I'm going to put pressure on myself to be the best possible player that I can be. With the pieces they already have in place and myself, we can do some amazing things next season." Maurice Taylor
That's too bad. But I guess Los will pick up where Cato left off! ------------------ Rudy T. will find and fulfill Rockets destiny.
Wat a better way to end a career than to play DAMN good basketball on your last tour. Think its possible? Think Dream could come out and dominate like he has in the past? Oh how i WISH that would happen! Though, realistically...chances of that are very very very very grim. ------------------
Not to be a pessimist but I would not be surprised if Los soon followed Cato. It's like last year all over again! ------------------
WHY DOES THIS ALWAYS HAPPEN TO US? Cato just HAD to jump on that drive and land on that bum's foot! And Taylor just HAD to jump and try to block that bum's drive! Ahhhh i'm just really mad right now.
WE HAVE THE WORST BAD LUCK.
------------------ president of the dan langhi fan club. We may have bad luck, but 4-6 weeks for a sprain? Today's athletes are WIMPS !!! Heck, at the YMCA, people sprain their ankles...and shake it off and keep playing.... All I can say, is that I hope Dream gets to play more. DaDakota ------------------ All you MO-FO's better stop ripping off my lines !!
Yo snowman, I was thinkin the same DAMN thing! Just when something good starts to happen, something bad quickly screws it all up! ------------------
Cato's ankle sprain was a more severe "high ankle sprain". He left the arena in a cast and will have an MRI Friday morning. Taylor's is less severe and is considered day to day. He fully expects to play in the Clipper game on Saturday. Old School ------------------ I voted YES!
all i want to say is great game team they frucken played their ass off tonight!and get well cato and mo-T NOW WILL SEE IF DREAM STILL HAS GAME yall know what i mean.i`m so happy for tha rocks, man is my throat sore ...1-1 not bad at all.. clippers,~~~clippers ------------------ TEXANS BABY...
Dreams last call. I am a huge Hakeem fan and would love to see Hakeem do 18-9 this season. I can Dream can't I? ------------------ "Chucky who? I thought we were talking about basketball?" Charles Barkley
This really sucks. We lost any chance of beating the Lakers - Shaq will get 40 on Dream/Collier/Taylor. ------------------
Yep. I remember last year on Super Bowl Sunday Cato blocked like 3 of Shaq's shots. The only way we will beat the Lakers on Tuesday is that Mobley and Francis have to have at least 23 pts each.
Unless it's a fracture, 4-6 weeks seems really excessive for any type of sprain. The human body should be able to heal tendon tissue within a couple of weeks. I can't remember the last time I played and didn't get something sprained. High ankle, low ankle, whatever, after 2-3 weeks this overpaid fool better be back on the court. It's not like he ever needs to make cuts or work spin moves in the paint....besides, Barkley played on just one leg the last 5 years of his career. ------------------
DaDakota, A lot of times when we're playing ball, or whatever, we roll our ankles. That's a lot different from actually spraining an ankle. I sprained an ankle sophomore year and missed 4 games. Huge difference in the two. ------------------ "Priorities is our values"-Dubya at campaign stop in San Jose on 11/1/00 visit www.swirve.com [This message has been edited by Rocketman95 (edited November 03, 2000).]
4-6 weeks seems good for a high ankle sprain, he'll probably come back in 4 or less though. I did the same thing this summer and missed 3 1/2 weeks of my football training program. ------------------ please venture to atheistalliance and rocketsonline I AM SPARTACUS Bush and Gore make me want to Ralph votenader.com
DaDakota, I used to say the very same thing...ankle "sprains" aplenty for me...many times. It was like...no sweat. Ouch, but I'm back in. What is the big deal. Until one day.......... DaDakota,,,I had a black foot from broken blood vessels due to one "sprain" pulling down a rebound. The doctor said, "third degree" or something more ominous. She said you will be fine and 100% if you do not re-injure it in 6 months. I was absolutely on crutches for 1 1/2 months and very shy for the full 6 months that she prescribed. After that, I said I will never dis another pro athlete for a "wimpy" sprain again. do you think I could be traded for TMass's 6 month "groin pull"?
