Swap out Hakeem for PRIME Moses. Rox still get those two trophies?

objectively speaking, if you have watched the Rockets' every game this season and have done a good analysis, Lin has cost us 81 games to be exact. Lin also cost us this playoffs series especially in games 4 and 5. Now things are finally clear up.

    OP has a point.

OKC won 60 this season. We played pretty much an even series without Lin.

    His logic dictates:
    Rockets w/o Lin = Thunder = 60 wins.

Would someone PLEASE throw OP a cookie and rep me for my logic!!??

I don't know what is funnier anymore:
    1. the sarcasm itself
    2. the fact of people are not getting it
    3. the fact of people keep trying to sarcasm after every time people not getting it

    I don't know....

Many people on this forum are just stupid, plain and simple.
Who in their right mind would blame this series on Lin? If it wasn't for Lin we wouldn't be in the playoffs. I love Beverley and his fire but he can't run the offense, watch the games and see it's not that hard. They even brought an injured Lin in tonight to stop Jackson because Beverley couldn't do it. Beverley harasses the ball very well but besides that he doesn't even play D as good as Lin. He does have great energy and desire and hopefully that will help him develop better bb skills for the future.

But anybody who try's to put this loss on Lin is a DUMBASS.

It is clearly not just Lin fans who don't understand humor

That has highly racist undertones, implying that Asians are dumb / out of touch / foreign / don't understand America

I made an obvious joke thread about Harden and the same % of people took it seriously (except that I was banned for my thread... lol?)

I didn't know it was a joke thread I just didn't read it that close. Sorry if I offended you with my thread.

I'm very happy with the Rockets season and future but I wasn't ready to joke yet after the loss, maybe I should lighten up.

It does piss me off that people try to put this loss on Lin what dumbasses.

Nah I wasn't replying to you, I was replying to a couple people including Clutch who posted that it's the "Lin fans" who don't understand humor

I would like my thread posting privileges back though, all I've posted are news articles and the fact that someone should tell Harden we are trying to win here.

I'm a Lin fan I think he has done a great job this year and I expect him to only get better next year.

I also understand the problems with the LOF's a lot of them cry about everything and a lot also cry racism which is just to much. Yes, their is some racism against him but not nearly as much as they try to believe.

Haha, thank u clutch for not removing my thread starting privy. The immediate red flag after my bad post when i was pissed off served its purpose. I have been a good boy since. I think what helped was that the offense was done earlier when patience is still a little high. Woot woot!

Not that i want to start a thread, just the knowledge of having the priviledge makes me feel a superstar! Lol.

I'll throw some thoughts out there (these are general thoughts I have, not really a response to you).

I think a lot of posters, in their head, perceive Lin fans or LOFs as being Asian. And when they say "I don't like LOFs", that is the image that they have in their head.

Even if it's not overt racism like explicitly stating "I don't like Asians", the very fact that this mental association is being made is not a good thing. For one thing many Lin fans aren't Asian.

I also think the focus on LOF is misdirected. A more simple concept is that when message boards grow in popularity - whatever the cause - the quality goes down. If it wasn't about Lin, it would just be about something else.

In other words, it's a specious association - correlation not causation.

Finally a lot of LOH's cry out ideas like "Lin fans want the Rockets to lose when Lin isn't playing". That's just not something I've seen - as far as I can tell it's an invented narrative.

I really thought the LOF's would be good because I thought they would have turned into Rocket fans which is better than being a LOF. That may be the case that many did turn into Rocket fans and I hope so but you know just as well as I do that their are always the extremes in every group that makes them look bad. Hopefully in the long run the LOF's will end up being great Rocket fans instead. I don't know for sure but I would bet that there are Rocket fans on this boards that came over as Yao only fans but once they started following the team they realized that that is a lot more fun than just following one player. I'm hoping the same for LOF's.

What you're saying is certainly the case. In the long run having likable players that attract new interest, means more fans of the team. I see a lot of older accounts that post a lot on here and have screennames based around Yao.

I honestly think the majority of people who came because of Lin are already "Rockets fans".

No. He was implying that a lot of Lin fans automatically become over-defensive whenever they see his name in a thread regardless of its content or context. And he was correct, just as you have just shown by your little misguided asian defense league essay here.

And this implication would be wrong, as proven by the fact that people become over-defensive and fail to see jokes in every other thread, including the ones that are not about Lin.

Also, I am not Asian, and partly but not exclusively for that reason, I find "And he was correct, just as you have just shown by your little misguided asian defense league essay here" offensive.
