Lin was hot garbage tonight. I blame McHale, there is no reason Bev should not be playing 35+ minutes at this point and AB should have played more

I will trade LOFs for YOFs and TOFs. They deserved having OFs.

he sucked tonight. he should have never played.

the statement above doesn't mean i don't like the guy nor does it mean i think he has an upside.

however, as a Rockets fan, ever since KENNY SMITH tenure, we have not been steady at PG.

It's a revolving door of what's the best flavor. Steve Francis was possibly the best PG since Kenny, but he couldn't run an offense not designed for himself.

I thought Bev was only good because he played against the bench?

How does Lin suck so much even against the bench players?

Fisher was huge reason the thunder won tonight. Durant wasn't great. Martin carried them in the 1st and fisher closed it out in the 4th.

And that's the reason McHale stuck with Lin in 2nd half even though Brooks was much better on offense. He played great D out there. Lin was tentative on offense, kind of timid. Not sure it's because of the injury or lack of confidence. But he was best option as the 6/7th man. OKC just hit many of those open shots he missed last game, and Fisher gone crazy with his D on Harden and 3pt shooting in the 4th.

    McHale had little choice.

Delfino was out for the series.
Garcia was in foul trouble all game.
Beverley got in early foul trouble 6 mins into the 2nd quarter and played 33 mins (8 points, 4/11, zero assists)
Brooks was defensively weak and had 2 TO's in 10 mins.

Who exactly was he going to put in?

As for Lin's shooting, he was 1/3 from behind the arc (33.3%), and had 1 lay up attempt blocked.

How aggressive did you really expect him to be while wearing a compression shirt with a contussed chest? And with Delfino out, if Lin sits out the game who exactly do you put on the Roster?

The Rockets roster was crazy depleted. There just wasn't much left in the tank at that point.

The Rockets missed shots, OKC made crazy contested shots late in the game.

Fisher and Durant made great shots. It's that simple.

Lin basically played 1.5 games healthy. He had a poor first game, and 1/2 an okay game before he got injured. He still came out in game 3, when he could barely lift his arm.

That's a stupid small sample size. To draw any sort of conclusions from it is meaningless.

Experience is a great teacher, next year he'll come back stronger. He has good speed, good size, good vision, now a pretty good shot; with good work ethics he'll only get better. We do need a system that works better for him though. And he definitely needs to be more mature, under control and cut down on his turnovers. But be patient, centers and point guards develop slower.

Hence why I said I don't blame lin. Bad defense or not, Brooks was atleast healthy and could have contributed more on offense when we went into the funk at the end of the 3rd and start of the 4th

And I recall only one time that Lin was scored on straight up. Other times it's because Lin had to help out in the paint and couldn't cover back soon enough.
