Some of the replies on this thread prove how childish many people on these forums are. A reply such as, "That is f*cking ugly," or "Even I could do better than that," remind me of little 3rd-graders running around the playground hurling mud at each other. Clutchcity forums would be a lot more worthwhile to read if this kind of attitude left. Miguel, you don't owe anybody an apology or explanation. Good thread and good try on the uniforms.
Miguel: I like that, but without the stripe on the side. Also, if the new uniforms/court have gray in them, I think I might puke. What's the deal with everyone adding gray to their uniforms these days? New Jersey, Phoenix.....what is that crap?
Rocketeer-- The red and blue are perfect tones, and the designs are great--simple, classy. Can't say I'm a fan of the same old font though--we need to get away from anything than reminds fans of the toothy grin of that silly rocket. Maybe something a little more curvaceous is in order? Oh yeah, the pics are missing a channel on the basketballs.
Rocketeer - Oh my gosh those red ones are the most nicest uniforms I have ever seen!!!! Please O Please someone from the rockets organization call Lez and tell him this is what we want!!!
Wow...that got really blurry.... You get the general idea though. It's just a new color scheme for the first jersey I posted. This would be our alternate away jersey.
Uh, no, it doesn't. If you're gonna talk crap to people, at least back it up with something that doesn't look like something out of a 5 yr old's coloring book.
Rocketeer, I agree with most people in that those unis are very nice. They're more simplified and are just enough of a change from the currrent ones that they hopefully wouldn't piss so many people off but also are not totally retro (which I personally always thought was a terrible idea - retro unis are BOOORRRING and OOOGLY!!!). That's why I hate Detroit and Seattle's uniforms. They were pretty nice before. I also agree with most that the red is the best. Red is very... Rocket-y, so it should be the main color. But I also like the silver theme a whole lot, and think the silver stuff you made would be nice for our home look (assuming it was light enough). As a secondary away uniform, black would be cufu, too. Think you could make a uniform with a design like that that had black as the primary color? Hehe, you'll probably end up not even reading this, but I figured I'd try asking anyways... ... But by GOD, Steve's face looks disgustingly ugly in those pictures.
I agree. That's what I was implying by moving the side (secondary) color up around the shoulders and neck, like pheonix, but not EXACTLY like them. I think if the font were changed to something like on the modern retro design it would be PERFECT.
I must second that notion. BLUE DOES NOT BELONG IN A ROCKETS UNIFORM. BLUE IS NOT AN OPTION. REMOVE ALL BLUE FROM YOUR CONCEPTS. ROCKETS - RED. I've been a serious rockets fan since the early 80's and if they have blue in their new unis I may jump ship. The Rockets need to create a strong league identity and blue is just not gonna do it.
I like having a big strip on the sides. I think with having a big strip on the sides from distance players look taller and bigger. While watching the Bulls-Rocket game with the bulls having a pretty solid one color jersey their players just look shorter than ours but then again any team we face and Yao's in the games does have that effect I don't know probably just me.
