I made a thread asking if Lin should be 6th man and got ridiculed by most of the people who posted. Interesting how I'm starting to see more agree with my viewpoint.

First Tony Parker, now Ginobli. How long until he's the next Tim Duncan?

uh no. he'll never be best of anything. but he'll be more than a servicable bench guy.

Ginboli at his peak was a top 5 SG. I doubt Lin will ever be a top 5 PG.

Parker was also in GQ magazine.

    Maybe that was the comparison.

Why do we keep setting high standards for a guy making 5 mil this year?

I WISH Jeremy Lin could be a 6th man like Ginobili, Jamal Crawford, or JR Smith. Those guys are GREAT scorers with a wide variety of offensive moves.

Ginobli was at one time comparable to Kobe statistically. Lin is above average at best. There is no comparison at all...

I think you guys are missing the point. I think Tinman doesn't mean "best sixth man in the game" as in best in the NBA, but as in "probably the best in the two teams of each particular game".

Not even Ginobili, Harden himself knows exactly what it's like to be a sixth man who's also depended on.

If you're gonna use that argument then he'd better be playing at a near-max $15MM level in less than 2 years...

i honestly wouldn't mind if he became a sixth man. Bev seems to play better with Harden anyway but again this is 1 season i'm going off of.

Why when I made a thread about Lin being a 6 man I get 2 stars before the thread merged into Unbelievable Beverley, but when you do it's 5 star thread Tinman? Or is it that people start seeing what's best for Rockets and Lin?

I can't explain dude, some of the best threads have low stars. it's about the thread .

    it's just like the movies.

Above the Rim got low ratings from critics, but I found it to be a memorable movie with amazing music and unforgettable story.
