Nothing. Absolutely noone else thinks it is fair for Beverley to be called somethign so stupid. Where the hell in your twisted Lin-hating mind are you getting that?? I mean, seriously.. That was r****ded but so are a lot of your Lin-hating comments as well. I mean, come on, being called a sham is not that bad actually, jsut a logical discussion of... GTFO. Your logic is so twisted when it comes to Lin hate, that you can't even see dung for what it is.
You keep going with Jeremy because he has shown flashes of great play. You don't go any where with consistently average players, unless you have a superstar duo/trio. Sooner or later, Lin will develop consistency and when he does, the level of play he will be at will be between average or great. If he's average, he gets moved. If he's not, then Houston moves one step closer to the ultimate goal of winning the championship.
You are absolutely right. If Lin could add some type of consistency with those flashes he would be a better option with Harden than Beverley. But now, Bevs got him beat.
You do realize Linsanity was 26 pts and 8 assists on 58% shooting right? You really expected that from Jeremy all season long? No point guard in the history of the game has been able to do that, especially when you have to share the backcourt with a star in Harden. Hell, even if Lin didnt have to share the backcourt with Harden there's no way he would've been able to put up Linsanity numbers consistently. The Rockets signed him because with Linsanity, they saw Lin as a young player with potential- thus the 3 year, 25 million dollar contract. For the most part, Lin has lived up to this as he has had a solid first year and helped the team reach the playoffs. And when you talk about chances, its not like Lin has had a bunch of chances in the playoffs. He sucked the first game, then was playing decently before he got injured in game 2. Other than that he's barely played. So no, he really hasn't gotten enough chances in the playoffs thus far
I hate to go into another thread and ruined the parade...but it seem you guys got no respect for JLin thread so why not. I'm gonna repeat what i put on the JLin thread. You speak so highly of PB but yet he only had 1 assist and allowed 20pt for the bench PG. If that was JLin I'm sure he'll get a bashing of his life here in the clutch forum. I love PB and what he had done so far but berating JLin when he's down with injury is insulting.
Again, you're acting as if Bev has completely tore it up this series against Westbrook or something. He's barely averaging Lin's numbers throughout the whole 82 game season against OKC's backups. Bev has been good, but he's not the main we're winning. We're winning cause Westbrook is out, Francisco Garcia has been on fire this series, Parsons and Harden have each stepped up big time in respective games, we're playing good team defense on Durant, Asik is anchoring the paint, and our guards have outplayed theirs. I understand Lin is the most polarizing and controversial player here and its easy to say his absence is the reason we're winning now, but in reality its been much more than that. And props to McHale. These past few games have changed my mind about him.
WTF???!!! We would berate Lin for having one assist after scoring 14pts, 8rbds, 1blk and 1stl??? You seriously put this post in two different threads???!!!
Uhhhh......yeah.....he did. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/LkYevpkhZYc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I honestly would have zero problem if Lin performed exactly like bev last game. Shot the ball efficiently, crashed the boards, played solid d and only had 1 TO. Luckily it was Bev and we don't have to read these go to excuses: Of course he only had 1 assist. Harden always has the ball and hates passing to Jeremy. The coaches refuse to let him do his thing, what do you expect? Lin wasn't guarding Jackson the entire game.
Seriously, i did mention that no one is going to completely stop Westbrook, but if you get into his head and play good defense on him you will make him work that much harder.
Not at all... Just like if I point out hard stats like Rockets wins with Lin and His superior individual stats, it doesn't make me a LOF. Like I said, I've got twice as many Harden jerseys as I do Lin's and I have worn Hardens for the last two games (and I'll be wearing it again tonight to TC). Also, I have stated to my friends that Parsons has been the best player for the Rox over the last few months but we can discuss that in the off season.
Last post from me and the I'm heading to the game to cheer BOTH Beverley and Lin. I think that bringing Lin off the bench is the way to go tonight too. Why would you start him like we tried I'm the last game he played and he's still hurting and we fall into a big hole? Also, I do think the chemistry between Harden and Lin may not be as good as Harden and Beverley b/c Beverley defers almost all the time. Lin wasn't brought in to do that and can do more. Just b/c Kobe and Dwight don't have great chemistry yet, the Lakers aren't giving up on them after one season. Just watch Beverley's D tonight and tell me how many times he gets beat by his man or gives up a wide open look to the man he's guarding. Keep count and we will talk tonight. Go Rockets!!!
And where did I say it was okay to hate on Jeremy Lin? Because that's exactly what you inferred and what I'm repeating back in your own words. You are the worse of all Lin fans. I did not even say anything remotely negative about Jeremy Lin in this entire freaking thread and you are accusing me of Lin hating. I challenge you to find a post where I "hated" on Lin in the last month or more. If you can't, you can probably leave this forum and join Jeremy Lin.com or something. Obviously, disagreeing with you means hating on Jeremy Lin. Heck, if somebody bumped into you on the street you would probably accuse them of attempting a butterfly effect to destroy Lin's career.
