Did I miss it or he actually took him down without ever even producing a badge?

The fact that the officer didn't confiscate the tape tells that he has confidence in what he was doing. What an idiot.

Nope, you didn't miss anything. And I'm pretty sure it is against police procedures for an undercover cop to refuse to show a badge when asked.

That cop is busted. He's totally going down.

Did not read Miranda Rights, case dismissed.

I can almost guarantee that cop isn't reprimanded at all.

They get away with this **** all the time.

Actually I think they do have to show a badge at some point.

Either way his buddy's video should exonerate, vindicate, & demand a reprimand.

Luckily that guy kept his cool. I'm sure a lot of guys would get physical with a cop being confrontational like that without providing identification confirming he's a cop. I'm sure that cop was hoping for something like that to escalate to get that guy in deep ****.

Cop Doesn't have to read Miranda Rights to you when you're arrested, only if they want to use whatever you say after you've been arrested in court. If you confess before you've been detained, for example, they can use that testimony against you in court. However, if you confessed after your arrest and they had not mirandized you then you would have grounds to suppress that as evidence.

Watching that video pissed me off. Hope that "cop", if he really is one, gets canned.

I fault both parties. cop should have produced a badge when asked. guy shouldn't have gone into angry black man rage so quickly. also, friends are quite useless. they don't believe white dudes a cop or they would have complied with request, yet they dont do anything when the guy takes down their friend? weak.

I'll also note that this occurred in Fayetteville, which has repeatedly shown up on most dangerous places to live lists

Right before he went into to try and arrest him he moved his shirt back and showed his badge clipped to his belt I believe.

    Regardless that was pathetic.

If this is real, the arresting officer deserves to lose his badge...this is despicable...and the fact that all this was on video, is more than enough reason for a judge to also award punitive damages to the man...I hope the guy goes after this pig for a major civil lawsuit...
