At this point of the game no one is 100%. If he thought he was able to play previous game then he should be able to play this game. Team pride is at steak not the series is how I see it. Odds of winning the series is next to nil. We can barely win 4 in a roll in a regular season....now to expect to win 4 against OKC? At OKC PB is a definate target and Harden going to get killed out there without JLin taking away some of the load.
question is... are we better off with beverley/brooks? at least we sort of know what to expect from them. lin can be very effective or incredibly ineffective, and unfortunately, the latter generally results in a loss for the rockets. personally, i would rather know what i am going to get and hope that parsons/harden step up and asik has another huge game.
But what if his poor health causes him to actually add to that already substantial load? That would be horrible for team pride.
Pretty much, if he can't even attend shoot around, most likely he's not healthy enough to be effective.
I do not know what is the exact injury but its most likely bruising....if you warm up enough and adrenaline kicks in the pain is an afterthought.
Do you really believe this is true? When healthy Yao was great and should only be talked negatively about never staying healthy. But his game was legit. Lin on the other hand is average. Everything down to his stats are average. The focus of some people is just too strong on a player that doesnt deserve it. That is the problem people have with Lin lovers and causes people to hate on Lin himself. Hes a good guy, just not a franchise guy, although you wouldnt know it from the attention he gets. Thats all.
Personally i don't want Lin to come back until he is 100% healthy to avoid people talking trash about how bad he plays in the game.
That sounds a little selfish. I thought all the new posters here say that Harden is the only selfish player on the team?
Lol, what is selfish about sitting out a game when you know you are most likely going to hurt the team? I'm sure he feels he hurt the team in game 3 when he played considering they only lost by a few points at the end. He was part of the reason the Rockets were in such a large hole in the first half.
Personally i don´t wont Lin back and i want him traded if we play better without him than with him, which may or may not happen but we can not rule out the possibility at this point.
Read the post I was responding to. It would be selfish to sit out a game "to avoid people talking trash". If Lin is too hurt to play well, fine, but many Lin fans are way too sensitive about Lin's image, and would rather have Lin avoid criticism than help the team win. For many of the older fans here, we are interested mostly in whether the team wins or loses, not about the image of any one player.

If it's that bad he should not play. Don't do it Jeremy. Let the haters say you quit or whatever they want to say but you can take it, this game is too important. Trust Bev and AB to pick up the slack.
