We're getting seriously off topic here but what people aren't seeing about Miami is that not only are the the most talented team in the NBA and probably the deepest team, but they are the best coached team too. Last year they got by on talent alone.., and they were injured. It's really not a fair fight. They might not lose a game unless they just stop caring.
They did treat Phil poorly. They led him to believe that it was his job if he wanted it and then went out and hired Mike D. before he gave them his decision which was going to be yes.
That's all speculation. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Phil never said as much, or if he really wanted to coach.
Actually what Aleron said was correct in every measure. Any of the teams in the West outside of Houston could get to the Finals but none have a chance against Miami.
Ah, thanks. I had not seen that. I wouldn't exactly say they did him dirty (ex. Carlos Boozer style) and I'm sure he'd coach there if he was interested in coaching and felt the team could win. It is pretty clear that Jim Buss isn't a fan though, so there'd have to be some serious pressure to make it happen.
It's like the grizzlies realized they had twin monsters in the post and started feeding them the ball every possession like they should have since the beginning of the playoffs. They must've made a huge adjustment the past few games, Randolph was only averaging 15/gm before and I thought he had declined. Is this just Randolph finding his touch again or some strategy change? Maybe grizzlies fans can give us some insight
Jeez, sounds like you've give up hope. That's why they play the games. Or should they just hand Miami the title?
a superstar PG, allegedly top 5 player, as a leader, on a team with the best roster in nba is struggling to make it to 2nd round of PO ?! eight years in the league of which only made it 3 times to PO ?! and the best result is 2nd round of PO?! OVERRATED BIG TIME!
Chris Paul is overrated. I don't care how godly his stats are. It's either that or my theory that teams built around small superstar point guards almost never win in this league is correct.
you've failed to list players you think are better than him, what's wrong? Scared to engage in a real debate?
VDN is stubborn with his rotations and never changes them. He always plays his vets even if they are playing like hot garbage on both ends of the floor. Terrible X and Os coach, terrible at rotations, terrible at running plays outside of CP3 iso. Dude is a homeless man's Mchale. I am not even kidding. At least Mchale has some strong points. His rotations are quite good and he is a decent motivator, etc.
Nah, I just didn't want to destroy your little argument...but let me do this real quick. Most of the teams Fisher are on are contenders. I think if you put Fisher and replace him with Paul then he'd lead the clippers to more wins then Chris Paul. Dem Intangibles.
