Zach Randolph was just incredible against the Clippers in game 5 tonight. 25 points, 11 rebounds, 2 steals, and 0 turnovers, which leads me into why I would love to see Demarcus Cousins in some Rocket red and mustard yellow next year. The similarities between the two are undeniable, and I think he could be the "next Z-Bo". Both had attitude problems early on in their careers, but are clearly talented. They have very similar body types and playing styles. Zach just needed to find a home where he felt comfortable in a stable organization, and I think Demarcus needs the same. Houston could definitely be that place. Would you take Demarcus Cousins in Houston? Do you think we could get him, and how?
Maybe they miss Thomas Robinson, his potential is out the roof! He was drafted by such a great team in the top 5.
haha I can't believe someone posted that thread. Let's operate under the obvious assumption that Harden is untouchable.
I'd trade anyone not named Harden and probably Parsons for Cousins. I think he would flourish with a good foundation around him, he has all the talent in the world.
“Sacramento is where I want to be. I want to bring the organization back, help the organization get started back winning. I love the city of Sacramento. That’s where I want to be. End of story.”
I'm pretty sure Dwight Howard was saying similar things about Orlando at one point, not that it really matters since if we were to acquire Demarcus Cousins it would be via trade.
Al Jefferson is the next Z-Bo. Their games are much more similar than Cousins's. Both are bad at defense Both are rebounding beasts Both were undervalued at the time they were traded/signed Both are skilled post players who you can dump it into Both would not fit the current style of Rockets play, but may be worthwhile anyways since they are such game changers
To be fair, they weren't saying ZBo was a game changer prior to Memphis and Jefferson is a very good rebounder. Cousins is a better fit of course, but he's a pipe dream.
Cousins is a trap, so no. The NBA would love to hype him but his own mental issues combined with the ownership problems has hurt their earlier attempts to hype him as the next great big man. I wouldn't waste time trying to get him, especially since I honestly suspect this team doesn't have the leadership of a team like the Nuggets that could curb his negative habits.
Beat me to it! Harden has peaked at 23 and Cousins has unlimited potential!!!!!!! This is where our future is! and OMG PPAT!
