I just watched his special on HBO last night, and I have not laughed so hard in a long time. If you get a chance to catch it...please do, the man is the funniest commedian I have seen in ages. Outside of Ali - G of course. DD
You should watch his Comedy Central show, he is HILARIOUS. He is one of the funniest people alive and his best movie is hands down, Half Baked.

Dave Chapelle is hands down the funniest comedian out today. even better than AB(who I find to be really funny also) Loved him in Robin Hood: Men in Tights..as Achoo, son of Asneeze the movie with one of my favorite lines... Prince John: Such an unusual name, "Latrine." How did your family come by it? Latrine: We changed it in the 9th century. Prince John: You mean you changed it TO "Latrine"? Latrine: Yeah. I'm crushed! Here's my Chapelle story... In '98 He and I did the HBO Aspen Comedy Festival, we got along great because of mutual friends and started to hang out. The closing party of the festival was Aspens hottest ticket, it was the year of the SNL reunion so everyone and their momma was there. I had to stand in a long line to get it because of my lack of celebrity credentials. Chapelle told me that there was a password, and that he would communicate it to me when he saw me. I'm in a line of approx 100 people and see Dave in front about to walk in, I yell his name, he looks at me and shoots the finger... I waited in that long line and thought of all the stuff that I would call that big headed b*stard when I saw him. An hour later, after standing in line with temps in the teens, I saw the MF and started in, he looked and me and said, "The password was F*CK YOU! damn calm down jigga and let's get a drink." That's an awesome story AB! Chapelle has just recently become funny to me. When he first came out, not that funny. Just didn't like it or his movie Half Baked. Now... He is damn funny. I watched an old HBO special with I-Control HBO In-Demand the other night and I was crying. Half-Baked is one of the funniest movies ever. I love when the guy tells the long story about the dog! I thought Kathy Griffin sucked?
funniest thing on his show (so far): He plays a white anchorman reporting on the government paying reparations to the black population. and in other news, MCI stocks shoot through the roof due to thousands of past due phone bills being paid.
Cool. What show did you go to? I went to the 11PM show, and he was hilarious! Apparently, Houston was the last stop on the tour, and being that the 11PM was obviously his last show, he wasn't in any hurry to get off the stage. No plane to catch, bus schedule to keep, etc. Dude was on stage for over 2 HOURS!! And he makes the comment that during the SF show, he was on stage for 4 HOURS!!
