Wife loves George Jones, apparently her parents played it a lot as a kid, and she kept bugging me to take her to see him in concert, she won't be pleased. Considering all the drinking and everything else I'm surprised the guy made it to 80, RIP George.

When I read the title I thought it was Mr. "It's not unusual" Tom Jones who had died. I don't know much about George Jones but from the comments I'm reading he must of been an icon of country music. Regardless R.I.P. Mr. Jones. ........... ........... ...........
And the movie is....? ------- Billy: Whole band is white except for Jimi! Sidney: This is a picture! Airbrushed! Jimi didn't have a white rhythm section. You cannot hear Jimi! Billy: All right. Fine. All right. (takes out Jimi hendrix tape) Sidney: Thank you. Billy: Check this out. (George Jones plays from tape) He said I'll love you till I die... Sidney: Who is this? Billy: The greatest troubadour of all time is who it is. Sidney: Troubadour? Sounds like a dog. That's a labrador. man. Billy: Don't insult this music. Sidney: Take this out. Billy: You're listening, not hearing it. Sidney: I don't want to listen or hear this. This is pollution to my ears. Billy: Explain to this Gladys Knight and the Pimps-- Sidney: It's Gladys Knight and the Pips! Put Jimi back in. I don't like this. ---- R.I.P., George Jones, what a wonderful legacy of music you left us.

Saw this on one of those Time Life ads: I think that's how a lot of Gen-X and Gen-Y first heard of Neil Diamond and other older artists; bought it on iTunes and played it till my ears bled. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/y-jNSygyRhQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
