George is a great young star. I agree. I'm not going to diss PGs game to prop up Harden's. They both could very well be the best SGs once Kobe and Wade start to decline...

But right now Harden's offensive game is miles ahead of Paul's. It's not just about scoring, it's also that Harden pretty much creates for the team.

Paul George is a better all around player though for sure and I wouldn't blame any one for saying that they would rather have Paul over Harden.

I really don't think the age is much of a difference. They are both playing in what may be called the Durant era.

Harden is 23 and won't be 24 until right before the start of next season.

Plus James Harden plays defense like a 35-year old Kobe Bryant.

I love George but he is never going to be an elite level offensive player, someone that is able to create for others. He will end up an upgraded version of Danny Granger.

The comparisons to Tmac is way off base. He may be young but he cant learn or practice to become an elite ball handler. Guys this late in their basketball career just dont develop into good handlers. I have never seen it. Kobe, Tmac, MJ, Lebron, Wade, etc... were all natural ball handlers from the get go. It is something that separates the elite level wing man from the good ones.

I'm trying to be as objective as I can because I'm a huge Harden fan, but Paul's offense is a mile away from Harden. I doubt he'll ever be a great offensive player like Harden has shown he can.

But, on the other hand, Harden (probably) wont ever be as good of a defender as Paul George.

But I think Harden can put more effort on defense.. Harden's offense + mediocre defense > Paul George IMO

You do realize that was a goaltend right?

(I do like the hussle and think George is a very good player, I would love to have him play for the rockets)

Certain things we need to consider for the Pacers

    1) The Pacers don't really have a first option in offense. David West, George Hill and Roy Hibbert are all very capable offensive players, so there's absolutely no need for Paul to dominate the ball the same way as Harden. Just look at Danny Granger, when he was the 1st option for the Pacers he was putting up similar numbers to Harden's numbers this year at comparable TS%, when David West, George Hill join and Roy Hibbert improved he no longer had to carry the offensive load and his numbers plummeted.

    2) The Pacers play at a much slower rate when compared to the Rockets.

So even if we swapped Harden for George, there's no way Harden will be putting up anywhere near the numbers he's putting up this year as a Rocket.

I love Paul George but let's not pretend that the bottom half of the Eastern Conference is anything but cannon fodder. If he does it against Miami they'll I'll be impressed.
