what do u guys think of him, he is a big pg (6'5) so it would allow steve to move to the 2 guard. he has been playin very good as of late, he is very good at running the fast break and does not make a lot of tournovers. do any of u no when he will be a free agent cause we should really take a look at him.

maby we could swap cat for him.

it won't happen, he is Jerry Krause's Boy, he hand picked him and he won't let him go easy. If he lets him go, he is admitting he has made mistake, his ego won't let me trade Jamal.

    My 2 cents

I was thinking of posting this as well... I think Crawford will be gone after the year and Jwill will stay.. I hope that we can make a run at him during the offseason..it will cost us Mobley though!

    That's actually a great idea.

I think Krause is much more committed to Jay and Rose than he is to Crawford. I think he tried to trade'em before the deadline but didnt' find a taker.

I think Crawford's got the talent to be a solid PG. Him for Mobley is probably not going to work financially, and probably not a fair trade in terms of talent though.

Krause is only easier to deal with than is Sterling.

Crawford is likwly trade bait -- unless they play him and Dukie in the backcourt. I keep reading how Rose will be traded.

But, Krause, like The Donald, don't always make easy trade partners.

Trade Mobley for him? Heck no. Would I take him to play at PG? Maybe. He was drafted in 2000 so I would think he would be a FA next year.

Yes Crawford is a FA next year, bad time unfortunately. By then he will probably get a big contract by proving his worth/promise next year, or start to be a disappointment by not improving his FG%. I would offer the MCE to him after next year provided he progresses even a little.

Just curious, how is his defense?

More important...he has the ability to create ASSISTS and also is a threat to score...and incidentally can hit the three..oh yeah and he is 6'7.. that should compensate for the smaller Francis at the 2 spot!

6'7?? he must have grown a couple of inches since the year started then. anyhow...how come you haven't been talking about him before he had his decent 3 game stretch?

Fine then 6'5 ..you know how they bloat those stats..
anyway I don't think it is coincidence that his "3-game stretch" has exactly to do with him being named the starter by Cartwright. It's hard to judge a man playing twenty minutes a game.. so I can see him as a starter now..lets wait and see him against the ROX in a few days
I bet he lights them up..but the ROX still will come away with the victory!

I'd LOVE to have Crawford, but I wouldn't give away a sure thing like Mobley for him. If we could somehow get him and make him our 3rd guard off the bench, that would be fantastic.

Apparently, Crawford is on this weight training program that will beef him up a bit but in a short period of time. So they're probably going to put him at the 2, and have a young Penny/Marbury type thing going on, with HIGH potential.

I think Jalen Rose is actually a good deal for us. He can play PG/SG/SF, and although he's a bit whiny, he seems to have develped some leadership in Chicago. He has a great stroke, passes the ball well, rebounds well, and is generally athletic.

Can anyone accurately describe his defense?

    Thoguhts on Rose?

    *crickets chirping*

Rose plays none. He does try though.

I don't care if he's not Ben Wallace. As long as the effort is there and Yao's in the middle with Eddie, then it's fine.
