The New York Times reviewed that movie and said that Bellucci's shirt "appeared to be missing the top three buttons." On her acting, they commented, "She has now made movies in three languages. Whether she can act in any of them is an open question."
Now I'm a pretty harsh and demanding movie critic and I thought she did fine. And yeah, she was showing some cleavage. Big deal. She is hot enough to flaunt it.
I read that same article and thought it was a fairly b****y comment. She was in "Melena." Did a good job. She was in "Under Suspicion." Did a good job. She's in a new film "Irreversible" which probably won't make it here to White Bread Country because it's controversial; from what I understand, she's good in that too. And she's gonna be in the upcoming "Matrix" sequels. Yes, she has her career because of her looks. Yes, English is not her first language. But she can act. All that aside, she is so hot.
I think the point was... In a war movie that is supposed to make a point about saving people's lives and doing the right thing is it really necessary to have a female star with serious cleavage running around as the doctor? Methinks not.
Next you'll be saying Denise Richards wasn't a credible nuclear scientist in the bond flick "The World is Not Enough."
If critics really wanted to start talking about what is "necessary" in films, I'm pretty sure you could rip apart any film that has ever been made.
I think the main point that people are forgetting is that Tears of the Sun got its ass kicked by Bringing Down the House this weekend. I can look anywhere to see a hot chick, but a really funny movie is worth a lot more....
and that was a funny movie. There are a few moments of truly classic Steve Martin, like the Mylanta dance away from the dinner table.
I've been resisting this post, but. I saw a picture of Monica in a Spanish Magazine last summer. She was "clad" only in some caviar that covered three strategic spots that was just begging to be eaten off. Maybe Mango can track it down as he likes to do research. I don't know about her acting. Haven't seen her in too much, but she is certainly a movie star.
Alas, even her cleavage wasn't enough to save this garbage. You know a movie's bad when you're rooting for the good guys to lose. However, in all fairness, it did measure on the unintentional comedy scale, so it was entertaining. All I hope is that our real military isn't as stupid as the characters in this dumbass movie.
hmm....Matrix.... sorry glynch....looked thru a few hundred photos of her...no caviar..lots of skimpy semi nudes of her tho..
R2K, I just went through a slew of them myself, and found much more than "semi nudes". She is close to (but not yet) replacing Ali Landry in my eyes.
