    he wasn't that wounded when he got into the boat

    from what I read he shot himself in the throat while in the boat

    i did not see that last detail. i did read the boat owner saw a pool of blood in the boat when he peaked under the tarp, from which I infer he was fairly shot up at that time.

    i read they'd released the three, and later, arrested two more, with one or both being the same as two of the original three.

    They may not have had anything to charge them with at the beginning so they had to let them go. Then after getting the evidence that they needed they were able to bring charges against the suspects.

    I haven't been watching the news or checking out reddit (for the 3-5 minutes I may skim through on my iPad) lately because this is all they talk about and there's nothing new being reported.
