I like this better than Haikus. You were so close, Dr. Seuss (repped anyway). Iso Harden from the wing Iso Harden from the top Iso Harden with 10 seconds on the clock Iso Harden on Kevin D Iso Harden on Kevin M Iso Harden until the Thunder triple-team him
LOL, Thanks. The funny thing is, I wasn't even trying to do a Haiku. But, after I clicked submit, I thought that I should've made it into one.
Why would they? They're trying to conserve energy by having Harden ISO at top of key while 4 others stand their ground.
lol I liked the last one. Variance can defined as changing a set to form more randomness, which can be different forms of ISO from Harden. I mean iso is working for Carmelo these days, i think Harden NEEDS to shoot more he tries to pass too much when he has the ball for 20 secs. Don't screw up and throw the responsibility on someone else, just be like Melo and go for it regardless.
Of course he didn't. He just ordered to put the ball in hands of the same player wished it would be different from last time.
Not going to slog through 2 1/2 pages of what people think Variance is. But I think Morey means that we have to utilize different kinds of offense to beat the Thunder. We can't just rely on the Harden ISO or a Lin dribble-drive. Parsons has to step up even moreso. Asik has to step up. Smith has to play defense on Ibaka. The bench has to be relevant. Basically, we have to modify the way we attack. Otherwise, it's a quick 4 or 5 games.
Higher variance simply put is about making more high risk/ high reward plays. More than just shooting more 3's. Stuff off the top of my head: 1) Jeremy Lin going for more steals at the possible cost of losing his man. 2) Beverley lingering in the key for rebounds instead of getting back. 3) Hardin conserving energy on defense figuring he'll make it all up on offense. 4) Going small all day long with Delfino at the 4. 5) Full court press on Westbrook hoping the pressure will make him do something stupid. 6) Dmo stops trying to score in the post and shoots nothing but 3's. 7) Asik shoots long-2's when no one else is open, since Asik is always guaranteed an open long-2. 8) Trob gets minutes. Low variance: Smith at the 4. High variance: Delfino at the 4. Highest variance: Trob at the 4.
