Francis had a mid range pull up jumper. I think he would beat Harden one on one at ease.

But Moneyball told us that a long 2 is a low % shot and hurt one's TS%.

It was a tough call between Francis and Mobley. People forget that before the rule change pretty much every Rockets play was an iso. Ended up picking Mobley. That guy's first step was so quick - you literally could not blink your eye, cuz he would be at the basket. Who knows how great he would have been if they hadn't changed the rules?

Umm last time I checked Steve Francis led a team to 45 wins with Cato, Walt Williams, Kenny Thomam and mo Taylor. Yes they didn't make the playoffs that yr but the west was alot better back then also. If I'm not mistaken its the best record not to make the playoffs ever at the time.

Not saying Steve Francis is better than harden but Steve would be a monster if he played in today's NBA. IMO he's what Russ Westbrook is now. The NBA is dominated by pgs now, when Steve played it was still a big man game. Players that put up 20 6 and 6 on 45% from 2 and 36% from 3 don't grow on trees. He was the best scoring pg in the NBA for a few yrs was the best rebounding pg and was a decent playmaker with good defense. Steve was actually a better shooter than Westbrook and I think the better player just a little ahead of his time.

Steve franchise was rose, Westbrook, wall before those guys were around. Another player who woulda been good in today's NBA is baron Davis. Guy had incredible court vision he was like a bigger better version on Brandon Jennings.

Do me a favor, post Asik and Parsons' All-Star numbers for clutchfans to see your point.

I am not a fan of ISO, but I have to favor MacHale. 2 reasons:

    1. McHale is the greatest ISO coach ever since there are ISO plays. There are conclusive evidents that he has devoted his entire coach career studying and perfecting ISO strategies.

    2. Francis's ISO hasn't done much for the Rockets. We are still hoping Harden can ISO us to a NBA Championship.
