Could the Rockets get Juwan Howard for the mid level exception?

It appears he is on everyone's 'take my exception' please, list. He has no apparent Rox connections, unlike Chi, Sac, Den, NY, Det, Miami...

I think Juwan will go to someone for the MLE. But in terms of the Rockets, isn't his game similar to Mo Taylor's game? I think they would be redundant. Wouldn't you rather have someone such as PJ Brown that is a more ferocious rebounder?

The Rockets are one of the few teams where his presence could mean the difference between being a lotto team and being a number four seed in the playoffs. On the other hand, would he really want to play in the West against Duncan, Garnet, Brand, Malone, and Webber for an entire season.

Howard is similar to Mo but he is way more consistent.

His connections to Rox is that he is a Wolverine. Just like Rudy/MoT/Rice. :)

Juwan can play center in the EC? Wow, the new Cato must have some incredible value over there.

Denver has a boat load of cap space. Unless he has really PO'd someone in Denver's management, I can't see them not making him an offer in excess of the MLE. Does he want to win now or make bigger than bucks than $4.5m?

Juwan just turned 30 and has a few good years left.

IMO, Howard has better low post moves than MoT.

Howard does have a better game than Mo T. No question. He's usually the best player on a crappy team. Story of his career. He'd be valuable if he could play the three. But that's not likely.

JH is a virus and should not be considered for the ROX...

They would do much better staying intact...

I would love to have a Dennis Rodman type player, but without the craziness, on this team.

Nah, I think crossdressing wins championships.

Remember when Shaq tried on Stockton's shorts?

The banners are gone...the Fab Four didn't exist. It was a figment of your imagination...

If he was realy that good why didnt Dallas keep him? Because they knew that there was a chance of stepping up to improve their team. Lets look for the step up as our first option! Brand is my selection.

Yes. Eddie and Mo Taylor will have to do. We don't really need a power forward. Eddie is developing and Taylor is stuck. Taylor has been doing good...for a while.

Juwon Howard is good.....but not THAT good.

    I would rather get a shooter...veteran shooter.

There's a reason why Howard is always on the trading block. He was accused of playing without heart in Washington. He didn't do well in Dallas being the fourth option. (Not to mention ruining the playoffs of TWO teams with that flagrant foul on Derek Anderson.) He is one of the most overrated and overpaid players.

I don't think he fits. We would have to give Mo or Griffin much fewer minutes. Now if we could get rid of Mo for him somehow, that would be nice...

it wouldn't surprise me if he wound up in LA for the mle. If that happens, the league is in trouble again.
