B2B games really kills us. Glad that was the last one of the year. I know McHale wasn't perfect (i won't mention some of the misjudgment cause yes there was a few), but give him a bit of slack since this was his first time he has coached a team which has locked a playoff spot. It's a bit of a sticky situation where you don't want to get major injuries on your main players and giving the rest of the team valuable minutes leading up the post season but still having to play close to 100% due to conference standings. I know he will learn how to continue to have the players motivated in these situations, since young team can also easily lose focus. On the bright side, the team will not need much motivations for the next game. 2 days is too long to wait for that game. Can't wait.
That is where pedigree comes in. A 20 year coach yanks Harden when it is clear he is hurt. McHale trusts his player and plays him .... Obviously something is going on with Harden. He has not been the same since hurting his foot/leg a month ago. Harden is a very stubborn and private guy, I think there is more to his injury.
I blame the Asian reporter for playing mind games with Harden "You don't want to play OKC? Because you used to be a member of them. You must know how to beat them."
If you told everyone at the start of the season the rockets would be 7th seed if they won the last game of the season, and 8th if they lost I think everyone would be happy with that.
Lol@ utah fans who think they have a chance of making the playoffs, they just don't get it. Their team is not chosen to make the playoffs. They can keep believing and stern can keep giving them false hope.
yeah he played the last 4-5 minutes of the game. but it was basically everyone trying to will the team to a win, with a one-legged harden taking charge. it was ugly.
with the way lin was playing tonight, i thought mchale should've put him in a at the 8 minute mark in Q4 while keeping bev in. that lineup probably could've made something happen.
Would these people still be happy if you told them the Rockets could've clinched the 6th seed if they had beaten the team with the worst record in the WC, but didn't? I see the big picture, but it doesn't take away the fact that the Rockets' performance tonight, saved for Lin/Parsons/Delfino, was just lacking effort.
You've lost it completely. Should take a week off from this board like Clutch asked that LOF guy. Rest your hammer. Get a new pair of glasses. And come back with a kinder heart. And watch some soccer - I never liked it much but it really isn't that bad.
