Call me crazy, but I'd rather be 7th place and play a beat-up Spurs team than to be 6th place and play Denver. Even without Gallo(who I don't think is that good anyways), they're still going to be dangerous in the playoffs.
How sweet would it be if the rockets go in and crush the lakers, knock them out of the playoffs and secure the better match-up with the spurs? Lets face it Nuggets would have crushed us even if George Carl would suit up at SG.
I don't know why you guys act like the Lakers game is already lost. Sure, they have the ref advantage. But they've also lost a bunch of games to teams much worse than the Rockets with that advantage, and Kobe is out. That game can go either way depending on how on form the teams are. Not at all, it worked very well in the first quarter and he had 11 free throw attempts (above his season average). He was clearly not 100% after bumping knees with Scola.
