    So, the Luxury Box idea died a quiet death because it was a $400 per person price tag. The new idea is a catered viewing party at Jake's. Something like all-you-can-eat and RPDs. :eek:

    However, there is another idea for a cfnet Road Trip to San Antonio, as well, if the Spurs are unlucky enough to draw us in the first round.

    So, what's your vote?


    EDIT: Jake's is a Go

    Jake's is a GO. Game 1 will have a viewing party at Jake's. We just don't know the date, yet. It will be $25 per person for all you can eat, in all variations.



    EDIT: further clarification (these are old comments regarding going to SAS roadtrip)

    San Antonio Road Trip means everyone buys tickets on their own, and we all meet for a group photo in Rockets gear at the stadium, and potentially all stay at the same hotel. But there is no other organization other than that.

    Houston Viewing Party: This is set. If you don't go to SAS, then Jake's is the place for the viewing party

    I could do either of those first two options, so I don't want to pick one or the other. I know folks in SA (big Spurs fans) I could crash with.

    To be honest, I hope its the Spurs, less of a drive, but if its OKC, i'm down for that too since I've never been to that arena. I'm down for the first 2 games, but I know people gots jobs :p

    Just speaking theoretically. Let's say it is a Viewing Party at Jake's. With all your Rockets contacts, can you organize RPDs to show up?

    I'm thinking maybe at least Another Brother can show up with his daughter in uniform. hooray!

    Do I have to be 21 to go to the viewing party? And what if I can't eat their food? Do I still pay $25-$50 bucks?

    If you can get into Jake's, you're good. but the cover charge remains, or it gets too complicated for me to organize.

    I'm going GARM now with Jake's, posting the invite to the wild within 2 days. Is everyone cool with that?

    I could potentially not post in the GARM, if we feel like we have 25 people in the Hangout.

    IDK if I'd want LOFs or LOHs attending the viewing party. That's just my personal preference. Hopefully we get a night game, I'll be working all weekend next weekend.

    LOFs aren't from Houston. Silly rabbit.

    Some outstanding cfnetters never come to the Hangout. keep that in mind. we can keep it secret here...so i don't have to post in the GARM...but y'all need to commit and pass the word.
