If the OP actually paid attention what the fans were discussing, its not the last open shot by Harden that was being debated. No question that was his shot to take. It was the shots before that. For example, Lin just made 2/2 three pointers. Harden has the ball again, but chooses to go for a CONTESTED three pointer insteaded of passing the ball to Lin (who was standing next to him) for an OPEN three pointer. Again, hindsight is 20/20 and if Harden made the contested shot there would be no debate.

This thread is dumb. It's obvious you take the shot when your open. Unless your an unskilled big you should always take the open shot.

Is that for real? I knew Lin was much better, but I didn't know Harden was this bad and it's this lopsided

How sure are we that Lin isn't Robert Horry's son? If these stats are true Harden needs to stop forcing it at the buzzer, atrocious #'s.

Based on this sample size alone, I wouldn't take Lin's stats too seriously.

But with Harden's, I get a little concerned.

Rockets fan here. To my fellow Rockets fans, throughout the whole season, if you keep getting the feeling that Harden just isn’t that good and doesn’t make his teammates better despite his inflated stats, you are correct. He is not a franchise player.

OKC knew this, traded him and haven’t missed a beat. Harden’s struggles against better teams are an indication of who he truly is; a good but far from great player. He shoots a mediocre 44% from the field and turns it over a ton. His signature skills are, drive hard to his left (can’t go right) or euro step into his defender no matter that. Houston gave an A+ contract to a B+ player. Truth.

Lol at the crazies here preaching about the play McHale should have run. Isn't the whole point of running a play to ... GET OPEN??? ... Harden was wide open and missed. I'd take that shot any day of the week. He missed. Game over. Close thread.

Didn't vote because there weren't enough options. Player with the best shot selection shoots no matter what. If there are none at the moment, then create one. If time is running out within 2-3 seconds, then whoever has the ball shoots pronto.

To me, Harden's shot has been off all year.. I saw him as a great shooter in OKC..
But i would still give him the BALL for win it or lose or tie.. He is the best shot creator on our team.. whether it be a pass or his flick of the wrist

BTW, Harden had the best shot today, the shot he took today was a good one. I have a problem with him at other times.

I hate doing this but here goes... You are a complete idiot if you seriously believe this and want to throw this garbage in the GARM just to stir the pot. OKC misses Harden a ton, and will miss him even more in about two weeks. He almost single handily destroyed the Spurs last year. He's fifth in the league in scoring this season on an efficient amount of shots, was an all star vote FROM THE COACHES, and has put this team on his back to get to the playoffs. The dude is a franchise player.

You might not like to play him on 2k12 but he's the star the Rockets got in real life and gives them the best chance to win titles in the future. So if you are really a Rockets fan either wake the F up or go find another teams forum to vomit your nonsense all over.

Should Harden have passed the ball at least once to open teammates in the previous possessions? Yes. But in his defense he was fouled and refs were being dicks.

Should Harden have taken that last open shot? Hell yes. **** happens though. I guess he wasn't angry enough to channel his energy into the ball, or maybe Morey's stats team put a curse on him for taking a mid-range shot.

At least the Warriors lost today so it's not like we don't have anymore chance of getting the 6th seed.
