The Grizzlies had plenty of reason to complain about calls as well. A numbers of the fouls called in Harden's favor were questionable.

The Grizzlies were the better team and deserved this one. Why is that so hard for people to accept?

I think Terrence Jones should start.

This is not the first time. At the end of the game, it has always been giving the ball to HARDEN and he will make the last shot. Basically, HARDEN ISO. That is coaching!!! I don't mind that harden has the last shot but not ISO all the times!!!! team knows that what mchale will draw up. so predictable.

I used Steve Kerr as an example of one who cannot create for himself. I did not intend to imply Lin is as good of a shooter as Kerr. But if you are using 40% as a hurdle rate for being a good 3 pt shooter, then Lin has been shooting that as of late. I have no problem with Harden's last shot. The possessions prior are debatable.

In the end Harden got a very good look. That was a good shot no matter how you cut it. The poll in another thread is kind of pointless. I guess one could argue McHale has no plays at the end of the game, other than 1-4 flat with Harden isolating.

Terrence Jones had some key plays but overall I didn't like seeing him completely stop the ball and isolating. He did this several times and it almost always ended in a bad shot. And this was was another game where turnovers really hurt us.

Rockets as a whole was not clicking offensively, but give credit to the Grizzlies' defense. They packed the paint and consistently got back in transition and made the game very physical.

The one really glaring issue I have with this game is the absolutely horrible officiating. Some of the worse officiating I've seen in recent memory. Inconsistency all over the place and some really terrible calls and non-calls.

Currently reading donaghy's book... Refs will be shown tape from this game. Rox will get all the makeup calls on Sunday against SAC.

Didn't watch the game, but same song & dance from McHale. Seems to say the same thing after every loss. Why in every loss there is "no flow" or we didn't run or the ball got sticky blah blah blah.

"We didn't run. Missed a ton of shots. No flow to the game. Had our chances, didn't do a good enough job."

I never heard Bullard sound so pissed when they called a charge on Harden when Bayless wasn't set for the charge

This has nothing to do with confidence though he is shook out there.

McHale said a 9 man playoff rotation. Greg has really set himself apart from Robinson & D-mo. I am thinking

    Lin/ Bev
    Harden/Garcia
    Parsons/ Delfino
    Greg/ Jones
    Asik

    This should be about right?

There is an entire thread about it LOL

    1. The worst officiated game of the season

    2. We are 5-10 when Harden turns it over 4 or more times and shoots 40% or lower from the field.

It's not about the last shot, yes it goes to Harden , I'm more concerned about the possessions prior to it. Really? That's the best we could have done? No.

Agreed. Last shot was fine. Shot before that he should have passed to Lin.

I know.. for example dwade against dirk in the finals. wade got calls all game and then the final play that cost the game and eventually the series.

Lebron, Kobe, etc always gets calls that win the game.

Lin fans, pleeeze stop trashing Harden. He's the major reason the game was even close, and he got a raw deal from some terrible officiating tonight. Yeah I wanted Lin to get some opportunities with the ball at the end of the game, but that last shot by Harden wasn't bad, it just didn't drop.

It's a frustrating loss for sure, but try to take some positives from the fact that they hung tough against one of the most punishing defensive teams in the league despite a slow start and piss-poor officiating. It's a good crash course in preparation for the playoffs, and necessary education for most guys on the team.

For a team to win in a playoff, this is a wrong motto. If our best player does not play well in the playoff, does that mean the team gives up and loses in all games. Nope, sometimes team wins playoff without its best player. Every players have to play their part to win (team ball) and the best player cannot win playoff by himself.
