We were a 9th seed team before the trade; anyone who thought we would be awful was criminally underestimating Lin & Asik. I knew we would make the playoffs when we got Harden and he won our first two games. Of course I hadn't registered at Clutchfans at that point, so I don't have the posts to prove it.
Though admittedly it might not have happened if the Lakers, Mavericks and Twolves hadn't all been brutalized by injuries and underperformed so much.
I predicted the Rockets were going to the playoffs. Thought Lin can help us out in that, but I'm a big Lin fan here. I also predicted the Rockets WILL make it past the second round and possibly the WCF. We shall see.
I was the main poster claiming that the best part of the PatPat trade was Francisco Garcia. I mentioned about his streakiness and that his corner three would be HUGE come playoff time. And, it will. Check my posting history. I mentioned that I followed him throughout the years and that he would pay huge dividends for us down the stretch. His effort has been fantastic and his shooting was as expected. He has had an off game or two, but he has really been a great piece for this season. He is the only thing I'm happy about with the PatPat trade. TRob is meh... okay Rep me
Well, I started a thread before the first game of the season basically saying don't be surprised we are better than last season's Rockets team. Basic premise was Lin isn't as good as Lowry/Dragic, but the downgrade is much smaller than people think. Harden by far trumps Martin/Lee. Giving Parsons more time plus his improvement we should be on par with Parsons and Bud. I thought the emergence of Morris would tip the scale in fsvour of this year's, but it was Delfino instead. I wrote Asik would be better than Camby/Dalembert, the latter had checked out of the team by the second half of the season. I thought 2Pat could return to the very good mid-range shooter he was in his rookie season injury free, and with better defense the downgrade with Scola would not be much. So as a whole, I wrote it's possible we would be better this year than last, which means fighting for 8th spot. I didn't we would be fighting for 6th seed though. Will post l

Not only did I know that we were going to get the 7th seed, I also knew that we were going to get Harden for KMart+Lamb. I'm just a baller at knowing. Spoiler err... I mean.. Spoiler
I posted that if they played well before the harden trade they could get the 5th seed. I didn't post predictions after the harden trade, but talking to some friends I projected 45-48.
Not sure how to go through my post history but after the Harden acquisition I said with our roster we should be looking to secure the eighth seed. I didn't expect us to be this good but I did expect us to be in the race for the eighth seed and felt 14th pick would be a bit of a disappointment.
