http://www.nba.com/rockets/news/day-after Lock if posted. Thanks Parsons for his constant reminder to the players on last year losing streak. LOL to Beverly's daily to-do-list : Block at least 1 shot. I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!
Yes, please keep this team together. Would rather develop this core over losing a few good pieces to upgrade one position by a marginal amount
Jeremy Lin : You can see it on the court, these guys really like and support each other. I hope Morey doesn't sell our players short, just to make a splashy move. ............. ............. .............
while i do think we need a legit #2 option on this team, i'd be loath to part with anyone from our core at this point. That would include Lin, Harden, Asik, Parsons, and yes, Beverly. No reason to sell low on TJones or Dmo at this point either. Everyone will be better next year. If we do absolutely nothing in the offseason, we get better. Sometimes the move you don't make is the best one. Hopefully we can add a #2 option without subtracting from our core.
These dudes sound pretty beat up. I hope they get a full recharge b4 the playoffs. And notice how fake JLin is being, cuz we all know him and coach hates each other and is only holding him back. Amirite guys? mauahhahaa
beside talent, I do believe Morey is carefully looking at their character too. Humble, harworking, and ambitious
Btw, I was talkin to the tard tinfoil hatters (haters) in this thread http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=236836
Great quotes from all the guys, this is going to be exciting! But let's not kid ourselves, if the Lakers miss the playoffs or get routed in them, and if Morey can then take advantage and get DHoward, he WILL do it at pretty much all costs to pair with Harden. I just hope that even if he does, he keeps Harden of course, Parson, Lin and yes Asik...because even though it would be expensive, having Howard and Asik would KILL other teams. If not, he can probably get Josh Smith and another back up center without us losing our core at all to still improve this team. Whatever he does, I think I will trust Morey.
Fantasies are all and good, but lets all quit kidding ourselves here. The odds of Howard leaving the glamour and glitz of Los Angeles and more importantly the 30M he would be leaving on the table is EXTREMELY low. I would be shocked if he left and I would be even more shocked if he came here voluntarily. THat's a wise move...one thing he has proven time after time is that he is much smarter than just about everyone here, and unlike every fan, has actual experience running a NBA team.
Patrick Beverley: These guys should know better. There is no "next couple of years." The current team has one shot and it's off to chasing Dwight Howard and Andrew Bynum and what not.
Thanks for dispelling magical thinking ...although i think everyone should have the right to think as magically as they want.
