Artest when it has come to playing his heart out on his given team...has been nothing short of amazing...he never pulled the ish that people like TMAC pulled...he played bc it was a game he loved...sure he has had some terrible moments with his behavior...but he is a success story of a guy that fought psychiatric ailments and made it in the NBA...He has earned the respect of the places he played ball in...LA, Hou, Sac, Pacers, Bulls...and where ever he has gone...When you look at his career stats and compare that with his playoff stats...they are almost identical...which just tells me that he plays just as hard during the regular season, as he does during the post season...

Why do you guys come here posting with blatant agendas like this?

Is Derrick Rose also heartless? This has nothing to do with Tmac or anything else but Ron Artest..good for him he's coming back to play...bravo. Im sure he's not the first guy to come back from an injury:rolleyes:

First of all, yes, he is crazy. But second of all, I think this is an example of the positives that can be contained in being crazy, i.e. being crazy can make you ignore standard limitations and guidelines, thereby making you somewhat superhuman.

This is why I was initially excited about Royce: I thought his issues would give him an edge. Instead he seems to have let his issues consume him.

Obviously Ron almost was destroyed by his mental instability as well, but seeing what he has become (even winning the citizenship award), going from sub-normal to extra-normal, sets a great example.

Artest has been a much much better ambassador for those with mental illness in comparison to White.

Royce White didnt beat anybody up in the stands or elbow a guy in the head because he made a layup...

If that's an ambassador then keep him the heck away from me

sometimes the best cure and fastest healing is not to give a damn

what if injury gets more complicated because of bad atmosphere if lakers dont make it to the playoffs?

repped.... by you never know how royce case will turn out in the end

Blatant agenda??? what??? The point i was making was telling you that he has endured the threshold of pain better than most of his contemporaries...he doesnt shy away from contact...plays thru pain...and give it his all...Kobe's in the same mold...guys that fight thru pain to give everything they have for their teams...if it isnt broken, he would play...

And to add to my point...its remarkable to see how quickly he healed...

Sorry if you took my post to mean anything other than admiration for Artest's recovery period...

Royce White has a terrible past rep...especially in college...While he may not a have a temper as visible as Ron...Royce and Ron are extremely comparable...So far, Ron has used his hardnosed style of play to better his cause...while Royce has used his ailment as an excuse to play...

He had one really terrible moment of indiscretion on the bball court...partly aggravated by the $hithole city of Detriot...but he has tremendously improved his image since the Malice at the Palace...

so you tear down other players to admire Artest? That is your agenda and you know good and well what I mean.

Lots of players play through pain.. stop acting like you dont know that.

Ron has always been built like a brick house and is one of the strongest guys in the NBA. Not surprised.

Lakers were playing well, then suddenly Pau came back and Artest was gone. It totally threw them off. If he comes back and plays well, it could be the difference.

Just put a band aid on it and get back out there, Ron.
