Disagree. Parsons's defense has only been so-so this year. Our team D just sucks so much that he looks good in comparison. As for offense, he's improved this year no doubt, but he's benefiting from all the open looks thanks to Harden and Lin.

Harden, for all his defensive deficiencies, is still the best player on the team.

I usually wouldn't say anything anyone says is stupid but what you said was stupid it might could even be considered a racist remark that's how crazy it is to say Parsons is overall better than Harden at this point.

Didn't you make a thread about Monta Ellis being just as good as James Harden? You probably shouldn't be lecturing anyone on watching basketball.

For a back to back game he impressed me with his play. I hope he plays great in playoffs.

Who cares if Harden is a superstar in some people's mind or only an "offensive" star in others'? Just like Lin always will be LOFs' superstar because of his story. Superstar or not, Harden really needs to put more effort on defense which a lot of time can lead to fast break which Rockets love.

Not as stupid as yours. Disagree all you want, but drawing hyperbole is not helping your case.

You mean Harden is the best player on the team and Parsons is a more all around player?

Lets see if the Beard plays defense during the playoffs. I remember his defense was nowhere near as bad during the playoffs last year.

I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion, but for me the team ranking of players goes like this:

    1) Harden
    2) Asik
    3) Lin, Parsons

Basically an above average game from Asik and Harden would probably nab you a win. If only either Asik or Harden plays well you really need both Lin and Parsons to cover the gap. Think this has pretty much been shown countless games this season.

Well, what better way to find out if Harden is a superstar or not than the playoffs which will be here in less than 10 games. The playoffs, it's where the superstars are born and where they shine the brightest.

Bill Russell is a defence first guy, he preaches defence.

As much as we talk about hardens minutes he averages only 38 a game. Assuming no blowouts he's going to average 40+ easily.

I don't think hardens defense is going to improve much in the PO unless we play more democratic ball.

Yes. Looking back at my post, I should've been more clear.

Would you lose more games without Asik or without Parsons? No way he's third!

    @dmorey

.@AsikOmer for Defensive Player of the Year! Omer is the #1 defensive rebounder in the NBA and #1 in paint protection (no rim, FTA, oReb)

Asik is the best player on the Rockets - we would not win any games without him and his ability to protect the rim. He is one of the top defensive centers in the league along with Hibbert, Noah and Howard.

Yes me too. And Lin had impressed a lot of people last night. I was awakened this morning by ABC local news. The sports commentators were praising Lin's game for awhile.

Those people who were impressed must not have been members of this message board.
