At halftime, Scola has 9 points, 8 rebounds, and 1 assist. The craziest part? 2 steals, 2 blocks, and 1 3PM. He had only made 1 three pointer in his entire stay in Houston and his career high in blocks is 3. http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=400277730
Scola isn't a chump PF, he can ball. Rockets will really miss his low post game. I just hope Asik blocks his layup attempts 10 times when we play the Suns
Should we include the Dragic Watch here, too, or wait for 00RocketsGirl to make the [Official] Dragic Watch thread.
Top Performers Golden State: C. Landry 17 Pts, 6 Reb, 1 Ast, 1 Stl (23min) Phoenix: L. Scola 15 Pts, 11 Reb, 1 Ast, 3 Stl, 3 Blk (32min) Nice
His numbers will be very similar to what they have been when he was with the Rockets. He will continue to do what he has been doing in the NBA. I dont see how its surprising. His Fppg should go down though if the league is serious about implementing the new rule.
He would have had a terrific season in Houston this year if somehow he could be playing with the team we have now. The problem with that idea is that we wouldn't have the team we've got now if we'd kept him. Very frustrating for an ardent fan of Luis like I am. Great thread idea, OP. Viva Scola!!
Scola did nothing but give 100% at all times while he was a Rocket. I will forever be a fan of the man and the player. Luis, I wish you well fine sir.
cant hate a guy like luis, he gave us everything and had every intention of ending his career here.. his contract really didnt seem that bad...
I like the guy but his defense can be horrendous at times when he was a Rocket. Glad to see him playing some good defense now.
That's great for our former two headed monster! Wish them all the best and will be following both players and teams. Scola was shooting threes also in the pre-season, I saw one time he attemped 3 or 4. Also more blocked shots than he usually gets so maybe his legs feel better or the trade has rejuvenated him
Losing can’t drain resolve from Phoenix Suns forward Luis Scola Kinda sucks for Scola to be wasting away in NBA hell like that. Hopefully the Suns will trade him to a playoff team this offseason where he can be a great big off the bench.
