The preseason is over, and the Rockets look pretty Flashy, don't you think?

    ....no!

    Well how about this........

Walt Double Pick, or Did Walt Really Shoot 65% last April? This is the permanent FTP site. Tell me if this link is broken.

Disclaimer: The Clutchplays crew can promise each play has been run by the Rockets, at least once. While these plays are for Rabid consumption, these are not speculative plays. So, let's talk some GAME ACTION!!!<font color="dedfdf>

Very impressive HP. Is there any way you could put in a pause button tho? I can't read that fast!

That must have been at Boston's Fleet Center. I noticed the old Parquet (butter) floor [IMG]

The middle button "Play" goes to each option one at a time. You must have hit the "Fastforward" button (the right one).

Way to go, HeyPee! Very nice. Will there be a catalogue or index of these plays as you add to them?

hp, how does this tie into the 0.00000000002% chance that the Rockets will acquire KG this year?

    HP,

No. I'm dumb, but I'm not THAT dumb. Give me some credit. [IMG] I dont know if its just my browser (IE), but the play button and the fast forward/continuous button both do the same thing for me. Anyone else with the same problem?

    Great work heypee!

One idea if you can: As opposing teams start guarding these plays and other options (alley oop cutters, Francis keeping the ball, etc.) You could have a link to different options on that side bar, with some of the different things the Rockets could do at the point.

Achebe-I think hp is trying to tell us that if we get KG, then we can't do the Walt double pick, because KG isn't as good a shooter (though a pretty sweet one).

OK all that stuff I said before - forget it! I got home and tried it here and it worked fine. Go figure - my comp. at work lacks the latest flash updates. Guess that means I can't play all those flash games on the net.

    Again - nice work.

great work hey -- you just raised the bar a notch for all rocket fanatics -- will look forward to play ideas all season long.

looks like Cato and Taylor may be a little out of position for rebounding purposes, however, we may not need it if Walt is stroking it and Cato/Taylor roll

    Kissofdeath....thx

yeah...i don't animate every single nuance...just the meat really. Shandon would be crashing the board for sure as well.

i'd like to reiterate that this is not a play made up by me. The Double Pick for Walt and Bullard is one of our most featured plays. It definitely is our #1 weakside play.

    HP,

    nice work on the animation.

wouldn't mind seeing the rockets extend that play and at the end KC sets an up screen for MoFo, who could spin use the screen and get a nice lob pass from steve (that is if the ball doesn't get to the shooter)

    HP,

I'm not sure if it's possible, but would you be able to use an image of the player's face instead of the blue dots?

Just thought that'd be a cool addition.

    Moe, yep.

Smegg...yep, but i expect that requires Walt to stay put by reading a mis-play on Mo rolling away from Francis. Mo can't get that pass your mention if Walt uses the two picks.

glad you like, Juan...look forward to your comments about how effective that Walt Double Pick is.

    jerinz...did you say I outdid my craziness...lol

DREAMer, Aside from Kenny Thomas emailing me just now to say I better damn well not use his baby-face picture from last year, there are other reasons.

Everything you see in that animation (except Bob's lovely parquay), is a vector graphic for optimal compression. That entire animation is coming in at a sweet 27kb, and I have some ideas (font selection and such) for making it even tighter. Pictures, jpgs and gifs are not on my agenda. I'm saving room for sound, data and multiple options as NIKE suggested. Bandwidth management is pretty crucial.

HP- absolutely fantastic. Even better than I expected. I really look forward to future additions.

When you mentioned Cato diving to the hole, is that an alley-oop option after setting the pick for Walt?

thx Nolen. I look forward to it even more. Especially when get more spotters in the crowd.

About the Cato diving thing...this goes with Smeggy's comment...The options I flashed are in sequence. You can't do a pass to Mo and do a double pick for Walt. Walt must wait to move until after the defense reacts to the PnR. If Mo is picked up, Francis either takes the single coverage to the hole (which is not shown), or looks for Walt coming around Mo. Mo must look to pick if he is guarded.

Now!!!! If Mo's man leaves him to double Francis, Walt must pick that up and slide to the 3 pt corner....Cato dives to the hole (goes to the front of the rim, strong), Mo must be unguarded now,,,(Fagen smiles), or Walt is alone on the baseline...BINGO!!!
