I don't know about the Spurs. I'm more inclined to believe that if Harden is on his game, they can beat OKC because Westbrook will take it personal and freeze out Durant, killing the team chemistry.
First it was Memphis, now SA the popular choice, ha. I'll say...the Clippers. There is no great first round match-up.
Didn't Harden play the Spurs very well last year? He helped bring OKC back from 0-2.. of course having Durant helped.
OKC. I could see Harden popping off on the Thunder to make a point that he's better than Westbrook and perhaps "on Durant's level." Also, I could easily see Westbrook trying to make it a personal battle and making dumb decisions ultimately giving us at least 1 if not 2 games we shouldn't have won. If things go accordingly we could probably push the Thunder to 6 or 7 games. As for the Spurs I'd try to avoid them at all costs. Tim Duncan would take us to the back of the woodshed. I like Asik and all but Duncan will school him bad. Spurs would probably beat us in 5 and I wouldn't be surprised if they swept us. Regardless of who we play I'm just excited we're going to be a part of the Playoffs and witness James Harden become a true Superstar. The playoffs are where Superstars are made and Harden is going to show that. Before the Harden trade I was expecting 30 wins max. After the Harden deal I was expecting 38-40 wins. I feel like we're playing with house money.
OMG HE JINXED IT. DON'T JINX IT YOU JINXER That's what half of the thread was when I made it 2 months ago. It's getting really annoying.
