    Try Walmart, nighttime stockers make decent bank... if you're up north they have a huge shipping center with shift work too.

    The job will pay better than retail and is not as stressful. With children you need a job that is a buffer, not one that makes it worse.

    If you are looking for an overnight job and have any skill with microsoft office or any other word processing program, you should really consider desktop publishing. They are always looking for people who can work overnight (especially the financial institutions), and paid close to $30/hr when I worked the overnight shift about 6 or 7 years ago.
