If this has turned into more of a restaurant thread, and less of a get Bandwagoner a huge sharpening stone thread, I would suggest MF Sushi.

why would you want to have the same exact cuisine that Japanese people eat? Many of them are petite in stature. Do you really want to eat the same food as a 5'3" dude? I know most of it is genetics, but nutrition does make a difference.

Been to Uchi it was awesome... Ham and eggs was badass

I still like going to Sushi Tora, Chef Ken and the vibe of his place is more up my alley.

What can I say, I'm a huge fan.

I've tried other Japanese restaurants in Houston, as well as a lot of other high end restaurants in Houston.

You can dismiss my glowing recommendation, but don't be a prick about it.

Don't feel too bad about authenticity, this is how they serve pizza over there:

You noticed that too? But I thought he was real cool trying to brag about how he's ruining his highschool life toking it up like real wasted college students.

Uhh you can't fool the Japanese. Pizza is USA authentic only if it's prepared by greasy Italian redhead.
