You KNOW Harden is going to come back. You see in games he cares a ton about his stats and status every single game. He will definitely come back in order to kill the team from winning without him
When Harden's outside shot is falling (and/or being respected) is when he's impossible to defend. It creates a lot more tension on the defender and it opens up his game and the passing lanes a lot better.
Harden is a BEAST...too bad coaching and management doesnt know how to use him... or perhaps they do? perhaps the wining games is not important but harden superstar status and thus stat padding... that way management get to 1. attract more superstars here 2. and get preferential treatment with refrees and NBA... 3. And thus indirectly win more games
People used to ask the similar question "Are the Rockets better without Yao?" when Yao was down due to injury and the team went on a run. Then Yao left for good and Rockets started missing playoff year after year.
You can't argue with the fact the Rockets have played excellent basketball with Harden completely out of the lineup.
What is amazing is that you actually think he is serious. What is even more amazing is that you have time to reply to the idiotic post when you probably have more important to do.
I've said repeatedly that Harden is their best offensive player by far and one of the league's most efficient offensive players. Obviously the team is better with him than without him. But, I'm not surprised he's coming back even if it's early. How many games this year has he remained in a blowout (either way in a win or loss) where you still see him gunning for his stats? Also, no offense since everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I've heard more outrageous things before, like people claiming Beverly (a few games from playing in Siberia) is just as good as Lin or that the team has no drop off putting Beverly in for Lin.
I'm not sure how much sarcasm is flowing through this thread, but wow. You guys are delusional. We'd easily have 5-10 more games in the L column if it weren't for the BEARD. Do you all remember playing the LAC in LA? No Harden and we got smashed...
I agree. I've written on prior pages that this team is unquestionably better with Harden and Parsons than without. This team needed a go-to guy and they got it in Harden. He is their best player and one of the most efficient offensive players in the entire league. So while I completely disagree with the title of this thread, it's still worth noting that they did demolish a great Clippers team and now a mediocre Magic team, scoring a lot of points without their main guy. This team isn't in full blown Ewing Theory mode yet, and it's a moot point anyways since Harden is coming back
1. Clippers played Rockets on their 4th game in 5 nights. They destroyed us last meeting w/o Harden. 2. The Magic are one game behind the Bobcats for the worst record in the NBA. They are by no means mediocre. They SUCK. Plus they're missing THEIR best player.
Wow, thanks for posting excellent info -- how many games has Harden insisted on staying in to pad his stats? I didn't realize he was doing that -- good to know.
