Discrimination would be to charge because of no fault of their own. Totally different. You and I can choose to eat twice at McDonald's or ONCE at Subway's (I guess a bit healthier), but if you and I are "genetically" fat because we don't choose, it's a different story. Discriminating would be "we don't let fat people fly our airline", but what you're saying is that there is a cost associated with your eating habits. You don't like that, do you? :p

Do you choose when you you are hungry or full?

1 seat per person should be the law.

If you are too fat to fit in one seat, then okay.

YES. I eat regularly so I don't get hungry. I eat LESS so I'm not FAT.
I agree with this. Well stated, but when you're borderline NOT FITTING into a seat, and you're claiming you can fit into one seat, but the plane is tilting your way or the engines are working harder because you took a few more bites of that cheesecake, we have a problem.

It's all about the airlines business models. More Weight = More Fuel = More Costs = pass it on to the consumer

I like it better if they just have to buy an extra seat.

Making them just pay more doesn't help the poor sap who is squished next to a fatty on the plane.

Pretty sure it's at least partially genetics. My two friends (brothers) both swear they eat the same amount, one's normal sized skinny and the other is quite fat. If anything the skinny one eats even more.

Yes, but what does Antoine Roccamora think? I wouldn’t go so far as to call the brother fat, I mean he got a weight problem. What’s the ****** gonna do? He’s Samoan.

But we end up paying for extra luggages.........if a person weighs 50-100 pounds more than I do and can fit in the chair they don't pay for that extra weight?

That's why America, the great melting pot of genetics, has the most striking obesity problem. Makes good scientific sense to me.

Combine genetics with processed food environment, and this is what we get.

    China is getting fat now.

i agree with this pricing model and would like to see it catch on across other industries as well.

eg. why should clothing sizes ranging from XS-S-M-L-XL-XXL all be marked the same price?
