No harm, no foul. We should give credit to McHale for having faith in the 2nd unit and keeping them in, but it was a gamble. If we lost, he would've been eaten alive.
lol just do it if you can't stand it. I don't know why certain Lin fans always feel the need to have a long discussion on who to ignore or not. Just do it and you won't have to read criticisms about Lin anymore.
Read what I wrote. "Sample size" . . . . You really act scientific about stuff. I'm not gonna say more on that for now.
Omer and those outlet passes, brings back Chuckwagon memories. If he can keep up his newfound finishing skills and add a passing game, no reason he can't be on Marc Gasol's level in a couple years. He was really vocal tonight and being a lleader tonight also, usually he's just slumping on the bench next to Finch lol.
This is the post season. Games slow down in the playoffs, it is a lot of work in the half court. Expect teams to successfully slow down the Rockets pace. Most likely it isn't going to be a fast paced game. Once again McHale may do things differently. We shall see though. Most teams don't overly rely on there bench in the post season. They cut there rotation down significantly & play starters major minutes with little rest. But then this is McHale so I know he will endlessly be looking for a "spark" & will likely play our bench a lot. We shall see though.
I hope you are correct. I just don't see it though. I have serious doubt about seeing a lot of improvement in his offensive game. And, if he doesn't learn how to knock down FT more effectively, his effectiveness will be even further diluted. I don't think we got the best of the trade (hope I'll eat crow down the road). His value has definitely not increased since e put on a Rocket's uniform. I'll be surprised if he doesn't end up elsewhere. Again, hope I'm wrong.
There are serious double standards around here. With that said, I'm okay with McHale leaving the 2nd unit in. I never felt we would lose the game based off of who we were playing and the time remaining. I'm sure he possibly sensed this also. I like the adjustment McHale has made by starting G.Smith and I like how we were running off-the-ball screens in the 1st quarter - but unfortunately we regressed to panic-one-man-dribbling-4-men-in-concrete-last-second-hurry-shot-ball in the 4th quarter. That is where I wish the coach would make them run that off-the-ball screen play they ran in the 1st. My fear is that when James returns we will go back to ISO-dominant ball and flee from teamball.
Because roxxy is wrong? The bench is still going to be playing a good chunk in the playoffs. Take a look at other teams that played fast in the playoffs managed the minutes. I'm looking at Phoenix during the 09 playoffs, and their bench still played a good amount of minutes most games in their playoff run. And the starters on this team tend to give inconsistent production, so Mchale will be subbing those players for those who will contribute.
True but it was a big gamble, Lakers and Jazz are only 2 games behind. We might be 9th place again this year.
Rest assured: everyone is very interested in what YOU would have done. Just as you are interested in what I would've done. I like what McHale did. Another win!
So this is how McHake thinks when he makes his rotation decisions, lol. I guess you can take it as a compliment since you agree with him, lol. Leaving your starters in yo play 40 minutes up by 20 with no signs of life from the other team and leaving your bench players in the game when they are losing the lead quickly and in danger of losing are not even remotely the same thing. Stop trying to justify something just to hate on Lin fans. And saying that is actually giving you the benefit of the doubt!
There's a HUGE difference between changing the lineup in a game that we are behind (and on a back to back) vs. changing the lineup while we are already ahead. Call it coach's stubbornness if you want, but this helped our bench's confidence in themselves alot.
There was a distinct possibility a chance within the final minutes of the game that the team might have lost. James harden will never be as tall as Yao. You're making an outcome which was possible the same as an outcome that is completely impossible By definition:False equivalence is a logical fallacy which describes a situation where there is a logical and apparent equivalence, but when in fact there is none. Since you attempted to show equivalence, but there was none, False Equivalence Fallacy.
