Too bad our front office are imbulsils... otherwise we could have gotten these 2 young players. Imagine having a sweet shooting 2, and an athletic scoring small forward. We could have easily went to the playoffs with these two players.. now the Magic have them and are looking like a strong team now...
I'm sure the front office is imbusils or whatever. It was clear that West was in lust and love with Mike Miller. Miller's contract was not CD's to trade.
so wich player did you want to trade for those 2 players?? and please people just stop with these trade talk, the trading deadline is over, get over is, in the off season we can talk about trades whole summer, now just focus on the basketbal.
I don't think Memphis is exactly crying that they don't have Francis. I really don't think he's that well thought of around the league.
How many years have the Grizz finished above Francis's team? Francis is a great talent and it is known league wide. I have criticized him and he obviously has shown himself as not a true superstar and leader in the form of TD, Duncan, Shaq, Tmac or Kobe--but he is still one of the 12 or so players teams would most want to build their team around. In short the Grizzlies would love to have Francis, they would trade Gasol or any other player they have if it could land him.
Are you serious? I would give anyone on our team for Francis. The Rockets without Francis are the Cavs.
No, they're too busy being pissed off at JWill to cry over Francis. Now Vancouver on the other hand,...
Yes you build a new team around Francis, unless you are one of the lucky teams to already have a true 1st tier superstar like TD, KG, Kobe, Shaq, T-Mac, Dirk, Kidd, Pierce, AI, and potentially Yao already on it (the only 30 year old+ guy worth more than Francis at this point in their career is Shaq). Francis would be in the top 12 most sought after young or relatively young talents in the league in the open market--heading or close to heading a group of 2nd tier superstars (J. Oneal, Gasol, Brand, Marbury, Marion, Allen, Wallace, Jamison and potentially Stoudemire). Personally, I think the only 2nd tier guy of probably equal value is probably J Oneal. It doesn't suprise me at all that Memphis fans would give up Gasol in a milli-second for Francis. It seems most everyone on this board way overates Francis or way underates him--considering all the things he does on the court, his youth, and his high media profile--he would be about the #9 or #10 most valued players in the league. That is pretty serious value--even if not in the same ballpark as Duncan or Garnett.
Are they crying about Gooden and Giracek? Amare? Tears in Tennessee. Of course if they get Darko or Lebron they just might break into a smile.
imbulsils? HAHAHA. i have to love the irony of someone calling the rockets front office embeciles when they can't even come close to spelling the word. never have i seen a word so brutally murdered. and while I can't say I wouldn't like to see those guys in rockets uniforms, I agree with whoever said we didn't have Mike Miller to offer. They wanted Mike Miller, not Cato or Taylor or Cuttino or whoever you think we should have offered.
I love our spelling talents. The word is not spelled "imbulsils" or "embeciles", but rather "imbeciles." The word starts with an "I", not an "E".
Although it's great fun (not) to witness such a lively debate over the spelling of an insulting name, I will nevertheless weigh in by saying that I agree with the basis of the thread. I was VERY hopeful that we would make a trade sending Cat and Eddie G. elsewhere. Considering our tragically poor perimeter shooting, we could have really used Goodent and Giricek. I seriously doubt that E.G. will ever live up to his pre-draft hype, and it's obvious that Cat will likely never average 20 points a game for a full season again. I guess while we're watching to see if the Rox will somehow make it to the post-season, we can begin the speculation on who the Rox can / will pursue via trade this summer.
