Someone send the writer this thread Where to watch the 2012-13 Rockets?

Tell him it consists of 1,785 posts and over 200,000 views. Be sure to mention the quality of the streams shared in the thread are somewhere between 1960 and 1970's televisions.

Factor in more sports fans (excluding football) have satellite.

Let's say you want to see a game and 99.9% of the tickets are sold out. The 60 or 70 tickets left are the nose bleeds or some $400 tickets. Wouldn't you wait to grab tickets for he next game instead?

cant provide a link, but Dennis Rodman was just in Korea and said that Koreans love basketball.. take it for what its worth

doesnt matter though because Basketball> Baseball all of europe will agree

besides a 2 or 3 latin countries Japan, parts of Korea, baseball isnt played that much outside of the USA. Thats just the truth

There are three things fans care about when picking a game they want to see:
    1) Famous players - Harden, Lin (check)
    2) They want to see their team win - The Rockets lose a lot of games (check)
    3) Prices - The tickets are much cheaper than they are to see LeBron (check)

If I want to see my team play against the Heat there is a good chance they'll lose and the tickets are expensive. Any fan would include the Rockets in their six game package because they are a young team with good players, score a lot, beatable, and fun to watch.

Houston has a great basketball tradition and rich history. Posters who say this isnt a basketball city are either stupid, ignorant, and not from houston.

As for the attendance, a lot of it has to do with the toyota center location. Downton is a pain in the ass to drive to and find parking. The start times of the games dont help either because 7pm start time is still being affected by the daily rush hour traffic from people going home.

I went to more summit games than toyota center games because getting to the summit (just get on 59N) and parking there was just much more easier and convenient.

Its such a hassle driving to, finding parking, and driving back from downtown houston.

    LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION.

Look at where reliant is, even though parking is a rat f**k, its not in downtown and there is a relative ease going to and home from reliant.

I remember during the Yao and Tracy era going to a sports bar in Rice Village to watch the game and they were showing Yankees-Boston baseball instead. I asked them to change to the Rox and they wouldn't. Couldn't even watch the Rox game in a Houston sports bar.

and then the city nearly refused to give them a new place to play. Bad city for basketball.
